    I'll start by saying that I stay in budget hotels all over the world, so I really don't have high standards - I'm just looking for something functional and that will do. But unfortunately, this was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. When pulling up to the hotel, it's located in a quite business park area, it seemed clean and I actually had pretty high hopes! Then I went inside. The first thing the receptionist said was that they have a new key card system and they're having some issues with it. So there was a chance they key card wouldn't work If this happens they would have to pry the door open with a screwdriver. A really odd thing to say. Additionally, she said the reception is only open until 10pm, so basically if the issue happened after that you're basically on your own. Fortunately this never happened, but it wasn't a great way to start. Issues with the room: - No towels provided - Smoke detector pulled out of wall and no battery (surely this is illegal?) - No duvet/blanket, just a sheet - TV was broken - WiFi was very weak, at best 1 bar of signal and this was barely enough to stream a youtube video - Bugs kept appearing in the bathtub, I would assume coming up through the drain - Some areas of the room, for example on top of the fridge - the first thing you see when you walk in - were absolutely filthy There was a door to one room that had clearly been kicked in, so there was literally just half a door - nothing happened with this during my whole stay. Fairly sure there were 'deals' going down in the parking lot. Drugged out people often yelling in the hall way, throughout the day and night. But then possibly the worst was still to come. Check out time is 11am. At 10:15am I get a knock on the door and 'housekeeping', I say no thanks. Knocks again, so I go to the door, say I just got out the shower but I'm leaving in 30 mins so I don't need housekeeping. She says ok. No problem there. About 20 seconds later I hear her relaying what I said to someone else outside, then they start banging on the door and forcibly opening it. So I unlock the door, shocked and say 'what on earth are you doing? Check out is at 11, I'm leaving in 30 mins'. They say 'oh sorry, we had no idea you were in there'. Just bizarre. I couldn't wait to leave. I'm probably forgetting several other issues, there were just so many. Please, please avoid this place.
