The breakfast is very good.. But the fruit that was served for breakfast was chopped into small pieces. I still want my fruit to be in bite-sized pieces.
I got frustrated because there was no microwave in the room. You have to go down to the kitchen to reheat your food. We've been coming to Southbend for 3 years and have been in many different hotels, and there is always a microwave in the room. We travel as a family with a child and a senior citizen. Very inconvenient without having a microwave.

Parking was easy.
Staff could care less that we were there. Exhaust vent in the bathroom didn’t work which was causing mold and wallpaper to fall off around shower. A/C was crazy loud and barely cool. Mattress on the bed closest to the window was caved in in the middle. The amount of dirt and cobwebs under the beds and pullout was clearly more than just a day or two old. Silverware at breakfast was dirty and the garbage paper straws dissolved in my $12 drink.
