    The unit was absolutely beautiful and huge, with lots of nice furniture and dishes and appliances. The management gave us an unexpected generous upgrade to a beachfront top floor unit which took our breath away. Thank you!!! We didn’t find any beach toys or gear, (except to rent in the lobby or nearby businesses) or an extra blanket for the hideaway, but didn’t end up needing them. Perfect location. Pool staff were unobtrusive. In fact, I didn’t see any staff after I checked in except the pool towel attendant. The pool was nice for the kids, albeit a bit cold in December. Several hot tubs were pleasantly warm. We’d be very tempted to come back here as long as we could find a good deal.

    Loved the condo and views. The beach was never crowded and lounge chairs at the beach were always available. Would definitely stay there again.

    Slightly expensive, but the location is perfect with very convenient array of shops across the road. Right on the beach. The pool was amazing and a hit with the kids.

    Not a lot of great places to stay on Kauai. Waipouli Beach Resort is expensive, but you can’t beat the pool that is awesome for kids 0 to 14. Pool is only 4ft deep at its max. Slides are not long but young kids love them. Hot tub that is warm, but not too hot for kids, and there are 2 adult jacuzzi’s . Room A403 bed we found out had a fell topper pad on the master bed and it was like sleeping in a canoe until we took it off. Drapes were filthy behind them. Dust all over the master bedroom. No cleaning supplies to be found for our 2 week stay there. Had to request a vacuum and staff came up and were polite, but because its owner operated they can’t do much to help you. Hawaiian locals and even transients were constantly in the pool for hours before finally being confronted and kicked out. 1 of 3 BBQ’s worked. 1 partially worked and the other was dead broken. Room had limited silverware. Minimal amount of towels. One day we could not even get pool towels as they didn’t get a delivery of them they said. Bizarre. We realized Waipouli and Kapaa get a lot of rain. Pick a dry time to stay here. We stayed late May to early June. The beach is not a beach you can swim in. Coral, rocks, reef, and swells make it hard to even get in the water. Sand is amazing though if you are not an ocean person. It was central to travel. We could easily drive to Princeville Area and down to Poipu or other areas. Storms, food, shops are very close to the area. We had a garden or Mountain View, as the ocean view was too expensive. Rained or was clouds most days. But we drove to sunnier areas for those days. Kappa Bike path is near by and that was nice and Wailua River Kayaking is nearby.. if it was cheaper to stay there with their nice pool I would say it’s a great place. It’s very decent overall. Kids are growing up so we probably won’t be back. But never say never. With Poipu having better beaches and weather I can see why people stay down there.
