Nice hotel that is very popular

Location and facilities are great!

Access to the Rohr’s restaurant was a bit weird for dinner. When I asked for a table for 4, I was told it would be a 1.5hour wait. I then checked on open table and booked a 4-top for a seating in 5min…. In the end we got to eat a nice dinner, but that interaction was odd.

Great hotel at an amazing campus.

I’ve always been curious about notre dame so it seemed like a good idea to stop there for the night. My son and I were driving from Boston to boulder so south bend was a convenient stop. The hotel is immaculate and the staff super responsive. What was really interesting was walking around the campus to the grotto as the campus is beautiful, spacious and well designed. It was a quick overnight stay, breakfast and coffee at the cafe in the hotel and fully rested for the next leg of the journey.

Location, ease of parking, beautiful property in a historical University ! But what was extremely memorable was all the staff , seemed local to the area and were very pleasant ,with a great knowledge of the entire property and the University!

Really everything was great Except the down pouring of rain when we were touring campus !

Second stay, some improvements, but still a high price for what we get.

This was my second stay at the Morris Inn, and as expected, it is very clean; their housekeeping division starts cleaning rooms early and finishes late in the day. Their complimentary toiletries are wonderful. They supply patrons with umbrellas in their rooms and at the main entrance. Their restaurant makes excellent food.

My criticisms from my first stay were regarding the lack of facilities, the coffee bar's lack of good coffee, and the restaurant bar's lackadaisical service. They improved the coffee. Morris Inn is on the Notre Dame campus, a school known for their athletics program, the hotel gym is a walk-in closet with sparse offerings. I am not an avid TV viewer, but the service was bad...lots of artifacting on channels and one channel displayed a Windows 10 error and Low Disk Space warning. Wifi worked, but was slow. Some power outlets weren't working, some didn't supply enough power to charge devices, and some were not properly installed. I assume the school runs a hospitality program through the hotel, and that explains why they offer reservations at the hotel restaurant for breakfast service, but being denied breakfast for not having a reservation sucks. The problem with reserved breakfast is that people feel obligated to take all the spots since its a commodity that costs them nothing if they don't use it, but turning away others who are staying there is bad, those people will remember the slight. I understand why they do it though, the students want to know they are needed for work and reserved breakfast lets the managers know who to have come in the next morning to work. I get it. This hotel charges a premium for what they offer, some of the offering are very well done, but for $400-500 a night (1 bed) to visit family, idk, either offer more and get everything right, or charge less to keep it in line with what we are getting.

We had a great visit!

The hotel couldn’t be more convenient to Notre Dame! We were directly across from where we needed to be for our tour. The woman at the parking greeted us and was so welcoming! The food was delicious. The cafe is quick and convenient for early morning.

I didn't eat breakfast, was that available? I loved that service seemed to matter. I travel quite a bit and have had horrible service over the last few years. The Morris was a breath of fresh air! Absolutely loved my stay.

the only thing I might complain about is that the check out receipt i received and expensed already does not seem to match what was charged? A bit confusing. My receipt says my stay was $585, but it appears that my card is being billed $615. That is going to be a problem since I already submitted my expense to my company. I am hoping that the charge will be correct as it currently says "pending". So we will see. Other than that, everything else was really great.

Nice being back on campus!

The Morris Inn is located right on campus and it was a short walk over to the basketball arena for the game. Breakfast choices were great and each of the four of us had something different. Decent choice of bourbons for a late night drink - the Father Hesburgh was memorable. Really enjoyed Suite 300!
