This is an historical hotel right in the heart of Alpine. The lobby is beautiful; we wish they had had the fire on, however.
Things have been allowed to get a bit dingy. For example, the tub looks a little bit gray. I realize it wasn’t dirt, the enamel is just worn. There were chips in the paint and varnish. The restaurant is completely closed, they have a bar in the lobby, which looked nice, but it was supposed to stay open till nine, but it actually closed before 8:30 PM on a Saturday night.

The location and facilities were as expected. The room was comfortable and the courtyard was beautiful. Location was central to Alpine and perfect for the art walk. Everything was walkable.
Unfortunately, we booked in conjunction with a wedding that occupied the lobby and courtyard for most of the evening. Guests from the wedding were enjoying their stay (as expected), but they were not held to quiet hours. Children were running the halls well into the evening.

Our room was above the bar so even with their provided ear plugs it was a sleepless night.
