The Bygone was the perfect option for experiencing all that Wimberley has to offer

But even though it was only six minutes out of town, we felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle. Also, the bedding was divine!

We had a double room, and both of us were aware of a indention in the mattresses where people probably commonly sit. It was more comfortable to scoot to the middle or away from that area to sleep. Perhaps putting a chair in the room may help?

The decor and comfort of the facilities. The friendliness of the staff and how quickly they answered my questions and resolved issues.

That I had to go get breakfast at a café in town and the lack of prior information. I had to ask many times.

All the amenities were amazing, we took advantage of some of them and even tested the trails. The staff was supper friendly and helpful.

The balcony door wasn't locking, the staff helped us and took care of it. No breakfast and couldn't make it to the coffee place but we appreciate the gesture. 😊

The bed was comfy, and I liked the shower too.

The outside lights on the tree were never turned off, which was bothersome. The tree blocked our view also.

Staff not available for the stay , so no bar available in the evening . Was looking to do the cocktail mixology on Saturday evening , stated did not need to book as hotel guest on the website , however when checked in said wasn’t available as they had not booked someone to do the bar mixology. Breakfast not available on a Monday , offered. Voucher for pastry and coffee in town had to go back on ourselves as was travelling the opposite way .

Perfect Hill Country Retreat!

The staff greeted us and and were able to answer any questions we had. The view was amazing and the room was very comfortable. We were able to hang out at the pool in the evening and enjoy the Texas Hill Country view.

The Bygone has a good vibe. Very casual and eclectic. The view is great. Everywhere you are there is a light tune being played. The grounds are pretty with little spots to relax at. It’s a small place so everything is right in one spot. Kind of has a camp feel

Cute renovated motel in a city with limited options that is very overpriced with misleading photos.

The staff was great and the views were fantastic. However, the photos per the site were a bit misleading and made the property seem grander than what it actually was. The pool was disappointing and the onsite amenities, while cute, were very underwhelming. Our room was very clean but the motel vibes were unavoidable.

An authentic and bespoke experience

An adorable bespoke hotel nestled in the beauty of Wimberly. The owners clearly poured their heart into the space with special details everywhere, and the people that work there do so with pride. My friend and I are from out of state and wanted to get a taste of Texas outside Austin. We made a quick drive down for a one night stay at the Bygone and were blown away by the hospitality and beauty. We joined for a cocktail making class using herbs from the garden and custom-made syrups. And we were lucky to be there for an inaugural farm-to-table dinner. As a remote worker, took note of a comfortable library with a view to work from. Highly recommend for friends, couples, individuals or even small work retreats.

The view,the pool.and quiet the last couple of days. Showers look great and new. And the sweet hungry cat.💖🐈super nice manager.

The trash cans.omgosh. way to small. The showers no place to put your products. I dont. Mind the construction just made it hard to get in and out simetimes.

Super cute, low key, peaceful place to stay.

We booked this place very last minute and we were there only a short time but man did we LOVE IT!!! It was so cute inside & super comfy! We went on the little trail behind the building and it was fast and easy. I was a little nervous about checking in since we booked it so late in the day. The staff emailed me and texted me right away with no issues. Everything was super clean, nice and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Wimberley!
