Price balance: It is a good hotel, but calling premium prices above the waikiki average, I would expect premium quality/hospitality

It was in the center of a lot of things.
The staff were great, good location etc. the only thing I did NOT like was when talking to other visitors, some said they had a microwave in their room & some didn’t. We did NOT HAVE ONE.

View from the BeachFront room was great.
Check in was easy, and Frank at the front desk was excellent at his job.
Vip/Voyager lounge provided good service, and decent snacks and drinks
While the room provided an exceptional view, the balcony was extremely narrow and uncomfortable. The room provided very little space for unpacking. No drawers, small closet space.
The beach area at the front of the hotel was very small, narrow, and the ocean VERY rocky with sharp coral. Not optimal for swimming at all. Pool area not at all close to the beach, so had to walk through lobby to move from swimming in the pool, to going to beach. Not walkable to the main public area of Waikiki beach along the sand or any kind of path/sidewalk. No beach chairs available without a rental fee. People sitting on towels.
After checking out, realized I had left my watch in the room. Front desk not at all helpful at addressing the issue. Lacked any sort of protocols for lost items, and front desk seemed clueless at how to address the issue. Did NOT get my watch back, despite multiple efforts, and filling out a statement with their security person. No follow up by them whatsoever on the status of their efforts to find it. Basically suggested I file a police report if I wished to. Don't seem at all to care about a valuable lost item, which left us dissatisfied.
