OYO Hotel Knoxville TN Cedar Bluff I-40

Property staff cursed and harassed me and my guests upon checkout. The room was severely vandalized and extremely damaged. Inadequately ventilated and cleaned. Linens were unsanitary and stained. Shower walls were filthy. The entertainment system was extremely dirty and broken. Microwave had to be moved to be used due to inadequate power supply. Doors for adjoining room was broken. Entryway door was broken. Shower curtain and liner was stained and dirty. Bathtub was not cleaned shower walls were not cleaned. No locks on entryway door. Adjoining room had a towel stuffed under the door. Refrigerator was frozen up and did not cool items we had inside. Bathtub was noticeably broken and held standing water. Faucet to turn shower on was broken. Shower curtain rod was completely broken off the drywall and hanging down. Human bodily sized holes in walls. Air conditioning system was broken. Property staff cursed and threatened me and my guests upon checkout. I was waiting to be greeted and checked in for the night with other guests for nearly an hour. When asked for management I was advised that there was no manager on duty and wouldn’t be returning for another 2 days. Ice machines on the grounds were not functioning. Property staff called me a “bitch” and said to my boyfriend “do your job”

The carpet needs to be clean. Yes it was very cheap and that’s the reason why everything needs an update.

Staff was great and friendly.

The building looked to be caving in on one side. The Waterpark is closed and looks like a giant closet with stuff piled in there and visible from the lobby. Building needs a major remodel. Paint peeling in hallways and rooms. Carpets need cleaned. The top cover on the bed had what looked to be blood stains. The white comforter under that had large black mildew spots. The room and hallway smelled like mildew and mold.

Everything! This place was disgusting! It’s an outdoor motel converted to Indoor. Dirty mattresses line the halls. Sheets were stained, burn holes, bugs in the shower. We walked in and turned around and left! Front desk was absolutely rude! No refund and kept telling us no manager. Save your money!

Location, price, staff.

Very run down hotel which was a former Quality Inn with an indoor waterpark that is no longer in service. I seriously doubt the current ownership has any desire to renovate. There is no breakfast bar, and no in-room coffee. Plus they charged me $10 to request a 1-hour late checkout.

The room was disgusting and smelled horrible. We did not stay. We left to sleep in our car. Front desk person said we would not be charged but we did get charged for that stinky room.
