Made the mistake not checking google reviews ahead of booking - somehow this hotel is rated decently on travel platforms but this is entirely. misleading. Hotel is not professionally managed - we checked in really quickly as we had to rush to an event. When we returned back late in the evening we just didn't feel comfortable staying so we left in the middle of night to look for somewhere else to stay. The room smelled very musty and the carpets also felt musty/damp under your feet. We inspected the bed and found an bug between the mattress. The most shocking part was when we opened the bedside drawer that there were a lot of droppings possibly from an insect. I was so grossed out I did not want to inspect further and wanted to leave immediately so did not manage to take a photo. We packed up and left and left the key cards to the person managing the night shift. No one in this establishment is actually trained to run the property - it seems like the owners just hired their entire family to run the hotel and a random man to manage the night shift. Hotel was not cheap either - the same as what you would pay in Chicago. Such a rip off as there isn't much nearby. Go to Holiday Inn express instead.

We had a comfortable night stay with a good breakfast in the morning. The pool looked wonderful but we went to see the beautiful sunset instead.
