Comfortable, clean, and affordable

Breakfast wasn’t the best.

The beds were very soft, and the hotel was overall quiet. The rooms were spacious. Location felt safe and secure.

Some of our lamps didn’t work, there were some mysterious stains on the wall, and the remote didn’t have a back so the batteries kept falling out.

Rooms are nice and spacious, clean with TV, fridge, microwave. If you do not have use of a car or your own cellular wifi provision might be best to look elsewhere.

No Wi-Fi in my room (222).  They argue there just is.  I inform them that in corridor outside door - yes, in actual room - no.  Take them into room.  Shut the door, all networks vanish on my phone and tablet and all their phones.  It will be fixed - or so I am told.  4 days later no moving to new room with Wi-Fi and still no Wi-Fi in my room. The lift is shockingly slow and the stairs are at the very end of the building - a 2-story building.  Leave at least 4 extra minutes to get up or down levels when appropriately positioned stairs would relive the issue.  The outside stairs (by the lift) were obviously being used and large signs now tell you not to use them.  Practical and public demand indicates a structural alternation perhaps? Breakfast, best avoided.  No butter but a 'whipped vegetable spread' is the level and quality of food we are discussing here. In an out-of-town business zone.  Many shops and restaurants but few pavements so walking anywhere is a bit of a nightmare.

Carpet in lobby and hallway very dirty- lots of construction workers use this hotel. The ottoman for the chair in the room had a large oily stain. Next to the bedside table there was either vomit or food remnants ground in to the carpet. Very obvious, should have been cleaned. The hair dryer was missing the piece that covers the fan. I found that out when I stuck my finger in there. That was a zinger! Nobody at front desk when I checked out, so I didn't report it. Room 107 in case someone from hotel reads this review. Lastly, bring a plug in charger for your phone. There are no USB outlets in the room, the ones that are on lamps and such. I had to make a trip to Walmart for one.

DO NOT STAY HERE This 8.0 hotel rating is completely fake. This place was so ghetto, we were genuinely afraid staying here. We walked into our first room and were immediately greeted by bloodstains dripping down the bathroom door. We then proceeded to find a poop-smeared toilet, black mold on the ceiling, soap smeared on the counters, stained curtains, condom and candy wrappers under the beds, a random vape, sticky residue covering the desk, dirty microwave and fridge, and exploded soda or beer down the wall!!! I called booking.com and asked for a refund. We were instead given a new room by staff. On the way to the room, we had to stand while the boss punished the housekeepers in front of us. It was so awkward and embarrassing. Every door down the hall was dented and damaged like people had tried to break into the rooms. Our new room was just as bad. The lock was barely screwed onto the door due to all the damage. Our new room was COVERED in toenail clippings. I swear I'm not joking. It was disgusting!!! Beer bottles were under our new beds. As it got later, it sounded like gang violence in the hallway from 8pm-1am. People screaming, fighting, beating on doors, running down the hall. We didn't have money for a new hotel, so we put the chair in front of our door and prayed for the best. If I could rate this place as -15/10 I would. Worst stay ever, and I still haven't been able to get a refund!!!! Not happy!!! *Also*- pool was closed, breakfast was gross and cold (the potatoes were literally grey.. no one was touching them) and staff was very unprofessional.

Our front desk clerk was absolutely amazing! She was so friendly, but I forgot her name. Maybe Gloria or something like that? Anyway, she was extremely welcoming and I wanted to recognize her for that!

I’m usually a bed “snob” because ours at home is the bomb. There aren’t too many hotels out there I’ve stayed in that can achieve the level of comfort I get from being in my own bed. Most hotel beds are just too firm for me, but these at Clarion aren’t terrible.

The desk worker, Grace, was extremely nice. The hotel had a pleasant smell. The bed and the pillows were super comfortable. We have to come to Evansville every few months so we definitely will be back again.

I could tell the hotel was an older hotel that had been renovated. They did good except for the room and bathroom doors. The curtains could not close all the way to keep the light out. I like nighttime to be totally black, but it was not enough to make me not stay again.

The facility is clean, quiet, very spacious. Convenient to the local tourist attractions. Furniture in guest room is slightly battered.

Some touch-up work on the furniture in the guest room would improve the slightly-battered appearance.

It was clean, the room was large, bed comfortable.

The interior was a bit outdated.

Good value, clean, a little run down. Great location close to shops restaurants.

Building visibly worn, bathtub and walls/doors. But for the value it was fine. Bee was uncomfortable.

No hangers or place to hang clothes. Thermostat was fixed at 70 and I felt warm.
