The building itself is beautiful, the lobby is very nice.
Very tiny bathroom, poor amenities, asked for a nondown pillow and it was terrible, very loud, you could hear a lot in adjacent rooms.

Great location and easy walk to everything. Love the bar in the lobby and the fireplace gathering spot!
Only thing missing was an outdoor area with fireplace gathering tables or heating lamps where people could smoke.

staff is very pleasant - it was nice they sent someone to help us figure out the tv as it's not a user friendly system. Great location and the microwave was very handy.
we were awakened twice in the middle of the night by what sounded like someone dropping barbells on the floor - it seems like above us and next door . Pillows not very comfortable.

Nothing except we were by the road and it’s a lot of road noise

The lobby and bar were very cool but got very crowded at Saturday happy hour with locals. The staff were very nice.
I was given a room off the elevator and stairs. I asked to change. They couldn’t because the hotel was full they said. They offered earplugs and to call neighboring rooms if there was too much noise. There was too much noise until about 2 am. I can’t wear earplugs when sleeping and I didn’t know which rooms were noisy to report. The walls are paper thin. The next door occupants sounded like they were in my room when conversing and they had a big dog! Doors started opening and closing around 6 am, to take dogs outside for their business I imagine. The bed was not comfortable. Felt cheap and too soft. Had a terrible night sleep.

Hotel was nice but they overcharged me. I stayed one night and charged me for two. Interesting enough when I was checking in an elderly couple were having an issue with their bill. Hmmmmm.......Contacted General Mangler to no avail. and sent the confirmation. God Help them. Moving forward I'm with Marriott
Not billing for two nights when I stayed one.

Service was friendly, bathroom was nice, lobby was well kept
Unfortunately, the HVAC was broken during our stay and we were provided a small space heater to heat the room. The space heater did heat the room but the room temperature was not in balance during the night. It was either too hot or too cold, which lead to a poor nights sleep with constant adjusting of the space heater.

Great location
Room had a plug in heater because the heat wasn't working. Our family staying another room didn't have hot water

Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, updated and comfortable. Amazing bakery for morning treats and bar for night caps .
Our room faced the courtyard - 530 am came around and deliveries were being made and they were a pinch loud and woke me up.

Beautiful building. Very warm and cozy. Loved the lobby area.
It was kind of noisy at night. I think it was the air conditioning or something.

Parking. We carried our luggage for two blocks to garage

Comfortable bed, located right in downtown Petaluma
NO PARKING. If you have any mobility issues please understand that you'll have to park a few blocks away or circle for two hours Street parking.
The two 15 minute spots in front of the hotel for check in were occupied by the same cars for a day, making it really difficult to check in and bring in luggage. They offer a parking garage several blocks away. Street parking is very difficult on the weekends, limited to two hours or in the neighborhood up a steep hill.
Also pre charging my card $50/day for incidentals is uncalled for and quite steep.

Beautiful hotel and good location
The noise isolation was poor. At one point, guests from neighboring rooms returned late at night from the bar downstairs and were screaming in the hallway. It was so loud that it felt as if they were inside the room.
There is no private parking at the hotel, but the staff helped us out (you can easily park on the street between 4pm and 10am the next day ), so that wasn’t really a problem for us.

What a gem of a hotel! Old charming style, modern comfort and amenities. Cool bar. We ate in the attached restaurant which was delightful and delicious. Everyone we interacted with was gracious. Thanks for a brief bit great stay! I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Nothing.

The upgrades to an existing and very old hotel are quite nice, plus the location is AWESOME. From the front desk staff to the bar staff, everyone working there: super helpful and friendly. We noticed there were a few wedding party guests gathering, and the lobby, as well as outdoor seating, seemed to fit their needs. Also, I didn't bring my dogs, but I love that I could have for an extra (reasonable) fee!
For the price I paid, other comparable places might offer such additional amenities as a spa or pool, etc. (although I don't personally expect or need those).

The rooms muggy. Could hardly breath. Bad control on air. Air pressure bad. No ventilation.

It’s a beautifully restored and maintained classic hotel in an excellent location.
Street noise can be noticeable. The city of Petaluma runs street cleaners in the early morning, and they’re noisy. Kudos to Petaluma for keeping the place clean, but it’s noisy.

The architecture and character of the building. Comfortable room.
We arrived for check-in around 9pm, the lobby was very crowded and we could barely get in the front door with our bags. Felt like we were walking into a bar.

We loved the welcoming lobby staff, the GORGEOUS interior (bonus points for the cool globe where visitors can "pinpoint" their hometown) and our room was SO pretty and the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Quiet, cozy, opulent. We loved it. Bonus points for the awesome elevator.
Wouldn't change a thing, honestly.
