    La Quinta Inn was one of my favorite places to stay no matter where I traveled across the USA. They were very friendlyto military family and veterans. Then Wyndham bought them out adding them to their family of hotels; only to slowly rot from the inside out. La Quinta Steamboat is just one more example of Corporate greed. And the downfall of a brand name that didn’t deserve it. Not the franchise owners who bet their own home on making La Quinta Inn a Success. As a military member of Wyndham it has been years that as soon as I look for a La Quinta property I get “No Rooms Available”. I had to fake the AI algorithms into getting a fair rate outside the system, only to find a run down, bare skeleton of what La Quinta once was. And get this; Had I gone through Wyndham or La Quinta direct they would have asked for ***/night plus tax. What a surprise one would have had when they checked in. And get this, when I arrived the desk clerk tried to charge me $12/night to park? And I’m disabled parked in a handicap spot. I guess if you are trying to stay last minute in Steamboat and there is no other choice go ahead and see what I mean? I have free nights at Wyndham and points galore that have a deadline of expiring and I can’t get a room using their App. This is how Wyndham treats its military members. Prevent them from booking a deserved free room or a military discount by saying No rooms available. And they have to gaul to say we support our veterans.

    For the $160 this place cost a night, I really feel they should be able to put in at least a little effort. The towels were dirty, and not just stained, I mean lipstick and hair never washed dirty. I was charged $12 dollars for some unknown reason to my CC on file, despite being told it was just for incidentals. There are nearly 2 inch gaps under the room doors, so every sound and light in the hallway comes in, and every sound inside the room goes out. At least we found a use for those dirty towels…

    Shower and bathroom need a big upgrade. It’s not the level when we want at Steamboat Springs.
