worst la quinta stay ever hayward California disappointed me to the max

the breakfast was only pleasant thing besides taking a big mouthful of juice concentrate the to see machine out of order the next day

flashing lights all night in parking lot which caused epileptic episode to happen also there a dead rat inside that ice machine that was working of course that was on next floor up because first floor machines didnt work and having to have a ADA accessable room because of mobility it did not make it easy and my cabinnet that my fridge was in was covered in mold and falling apart and there was somebodys clipped toenails on bathroom floor and a white powdery substance on corner of mattress i was disappointed with this place

Our stay was a complete nightmare, disorganized, stressful, and far below the standards we expected

Our stay at the La Quinta Inn in [Hayward, CA] was extremely disappointing. We booked through Booking.com and clearly indicated we were traveling with a pet, but when we arrived after a 24-hour drive from Texas, the hotel told us there were no pet rooms available. We were temporarily placed on another floor and then pressured to move rooms multiple times, including being locked out of our room late at night with our dog still inside. The staff offered no assistance moving our belongings, and one of the rooms we were relocated to smelled strongly of urine and cigarette smoke. When I spoke with the general manager, he was dismissive and blamed Booking.com for the situation, refusing to take responsibility or offer any resolution. The entire experience was stressful, unprofessional, and disrupted our plans for my sister’s wedding. We’ve used Booking.com for years without issue, but this was by far our worst experience. I hope Booking.com reviews this property’s practices carefully, as it reflects poorly on the platform.

Comfy clean rooms, easy parking. Good value after landing that evening - a convenient and relatively cheap place for one night.

The gym didn't open until 8am and breakfast ended at 9am, so not very useful timing. The curtains didn't keep out all the lights from the carpark.

Disappointed with the room situation but the room I ended up in was nice

The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained.

I had requested 2 1/2 months prior a ground floor room with an early check in and a view of the pool. I got there early and nothing was available so I left and came back at about 3:30 I was given a room on the first floor with a view of the parking lot and the window treatment was broke and the phone didn’t work. Maintenance came within five minutes and tried to fix the curtains, but they were broke and then tried to fix the phone, but it wasn’t working so they told me I would need to get another room to be safe, but there was nothing available on the first floor so I would have to go on the second floor. The room was very nice but the rest of my family was on the first floor. So I was disappointed that I had to keep going up and down floors. I just was upset that what I had requested 2 months prior wasn’t met.

The room was gross. There were stains on the bed, mold in the shower area, the faucet in the bathroom was extremely loose, and there was stuff on the floor. Not to mention hair in the tub.

Upon check-in the lady who did our paperwork didn't tell us there was breakfast on the mornings. My sister was the one who told me because the person who helped her with the check in provided all the information. It says no smoking inside the hotel, however 2nd floor had cigar and weed smell. Elevators also had that weed smell. The rooms are old, at least ours looked very old and was infront of the elevator so there was a lot of noise outside. Expect noise since 7 am. You can hear everything,

Perfect break from being too busy

Overall, the accessibility to and from the hotel is key. Your amenities of the pool I have to try next. Balcony is a treat. Excellent retreat from being over busy.

The only thing is I hope that location finishes construction so we could park closer to our assigned rooms.
