La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Midland

The room it's self was dirty and lacked maintenance. The ice makers on both floors worked. The ice maker on the 2nd floor was out side, made me feel like maybe there might be bugs on the ice inside but it seemed to be ok. The one washer and one dryer for guests was 1st floor outside in the middle of hotel and they didn't work right and had a bunch of plungers around them, so yucky. The culk in the bathroom was moldy and separated from the tub and the wall and moldy. The sink and the tub and the toilet didn't drain very well. There was a lot of trash behind the night stand and dresser and refrigerator and under the the fridge was really dirt. The cabinet that the fridge was in wasn't fully put together and had a weird stale musk smell. The fridge was clean on the inside. I think 2 of the dresser drawers were clean. The night stand had the old 1980s alarm clock that was busted up and sticky and not even plugged in. However, don't try to plug it in, I had to unplug the lamp. The sockets were were a bit browned and the cover was cracked and half of it was missing. The plug for the a/c - heater didn't even have a cover on it. There was one very nice and helpful man on the house keeping staff. He was the only one that spoke English. The rest of the staff were not very professional or polite. I had been here for 2 weeks and one morning I went down to breakfast and (there were no signs nor was it stated anywhere nor was I ever told before) I was very embarrassed when I was cooking my waffle and the front desk lady yelled out directly at me,"you cant leave the lobby with food" but I seemed to be the only person she yelled this at. I explained to her my dog was was in in my room and he was able to open the door because it was a flat handle not a round one . She half cocked smile and gave me a pfff. She asked me " your dog huh? What room are you in and I told her . She looked it up as I told her my name, still cooking my waffle .. she continues on, "well I don't know what to tell you but don't leave this lobby with ANY FOOD. " MY FACE. I FELT IT GET SO RED WITH EMBARRASSEMENT. So I put my waffle off to the side and put my yogurt back and went out side to go up and check on my dog. The way up the the stairs to my room I see my door crack open and I couldn't help it tears just started streaming down my face because everyone in that lobby looked at me like I was a homeless thief trying to steal food, and my dog was poking his nose out of the room door he had just opened. I was so hungry at that point I cleaned up my face quickly and my blood sugar was low. So I hurried back down to eat my waffle . Well I got down there and the front desk lady had given my waffle to another person. So I drank some apple juice quickly so I wouldn't pass out . Put more batter in the waffle maker and went to grab a yogurt just to get my sugar up and not feel white in the face . I was so worried about my dog getting back out as I ate a bit of my waffle and I did not have my Denchers in and it's very uncomfortable eating in public with out them. People giggle at and that too was embarrassing. But I between total embarrassment and feeling like my dog was going to open the room door and I would find him dead in the street or worse ... I only took 2 more bites of waffle grabbed a cup of OJ and threw my waffle away and at this point I was very upset. Went back up stairs, back down to walk my dog and in that time period some one had temporarily tied there dog to the steps! Not one of the post but to the steps that I needed to go up. When I turned the corner my dog tugged at me and jerked my shoulder blade out. And stepped on my shoe causing me to hit back to hit spine first in the parking lot. And it hurt when I bumped the back of my head next . The one housekeeping lady just walked past me and did not tell the man to move his dog, did not offer me any help to get up, she just looked over and gave me an eyebrow and a frown turned her head as I struggled to hold m

I rented a room for 3 days and me and my homegirl shared room double bed. She was there 2 days and I guess manager had a problem with her. All he kept saying was it's against my hotel policy. Mind you he never said. Well he profiled us and told me that she had to leave and I said she's been here 2 days he said rudely do you want to be put on the Do Not Rent To list I said for what he said she needs to leave. I asked to give a reason and he says it's his motel policy. But would never say. So he says well how bout this come tomorrow check out you can't extend your room. My home girl has never had a room there in her name. She is homeless and that's the motel policy they won't rent to one. F

It’s quit and nice here nobody messes with you,staff is very friendly

the location is great if you need to travel between Midland and Odessa
