La Quinta by Wyndham Stevens Point

The layout of the room was pleasant, the a/c worked v efficiently (unlike at another Wyndham property a few days before), the hot tub was clean, the towels provided were of good quality.

Too close to the freeway

The room was clean and comfortable. I liked being able to choose the temperature of my room.

No one was at the desk when I wanted to check in around 9:30 pm. I picked up the phone and called as instructed on the sign but it just rang and rang. A man came in from outside and said he could check me in and did so. The breakfast was okay as long as you don’t mind your eggs and sausage lukewarm. The lighting was terrible in the sink area. The TV choices were very limited even though it said it was Direct TV. And the choices on the menu did not match what was actually on the channels.

Super quick onto the Freeway. The HillTop grill/bar next door has a dog friendly patio and with excellent service and food. The sidewalk going west takes one down towards a beautiful park/woods that is ideal if you are traveling with a pet. The property is undergoing a refresh, so the items that were a bit tired will likely be improved soon. The bed and quantity of bedding was perfect. My goal was for basic provisions that were in a safe location for a quick overnight. It definitely met that criteria and the nearby dog friendly patio and park made for an excellent experience.

The drain plug wasn't connected to the post that pushes it up and down, so I had to pluck it out of the drain and set it aside. The edges of the carpet needed a bit of detail work to eliminate a little dust.

I had one staff member work extra to accommodate me with a different room. The 1st. Drunk and garbage was still in the waste baskets

The staff that checked me in, was Rude, I was interfering with something. I asked him if there was a problem no answer, I told him if this was a problem I could find a different hotel
