    This trip did it in for me. Between the roaches, VOMIT ON THE FLOOR,the half made bed, the dirty towels hanging off the sink counter, and the second night waking up within an hour of laying down because bedbugs had come out to play.... And when brought up to staff being told the property MIGHT be willing to discount another night but that is probably not going to happen... I don't want a discount. I don't want to stay there anymore. I did request a refund and it makes me sad because I used to prefer econo as my budget go to in this area. I can't anymore. Between the lazy to the point of stupidity housekeeping, the rate per night keeps going up while the provided amenities are reduced. For example this time last year the showers had shampoo and body wash in refillable bottles and there were 2 bars of bar soap. Now you get no soap. They still advertise a pool even thought it's been full of concrete for years.

    First off they actually keep up with their pest control. The housekeeping isn't so great, they obviously need more or better housekeeping staff. While lots of corners get very obviously cut to speed up their room turnover I've only ever seen any kind of bugs there once and as soon as I spoke to the desk I was apologized to and moved to another room. And this is a hotel I stay at at least 10 days a month, and get placed in different rooms.That being said, Kevin and Stephanie at the desk are amazing. Always willing to work with you if you have an issue, and are generally pleasant to interact with. Ben and the maintenance guy/desk dude Jimmy can sometimes come off as standoffish, or non-accommodating, but they are the ones that generally have to deal with the BIG issues. They suffer the complaints, police interactions, repair issues, corporate... So it is understandable they aren't jumping to go above and beyond for 99.9% of people that stay. The area is locally known for some unpleasant situations. But the hotel is generally safe, locking exterior doors at all exits except the lobby, and staff keeps them monitored and will remove any objects left to prop them open.. like I said, my preferred hotel in the area.
