I was tired and this place was the closest to me.
Very ghetto. Run down and old. The soda and ice machine did not work.

Pretty good location in downtown Sacramento. Arguably an underrated city--as long as you understand it's California and the bad comes with the good.
There was no notice about a time I had to get there or it's too late, unlike other hotels who have given me instructions on what to do when checking-in after-hours. After looking around the deserted front desk and being thankful the winter's night was more moderate than what I'm used to on the east coast (merely cold instead of a punitive freeze), I called the front desk and was greeted by a rude "hello?" by someone who forgot they were charging $90 for a motel that was still open. I explained I was here to check in and he eventually came to the office and checked me in.
Either some sort of mechanism should've been provided to check in after-hours, a clear notice should've been provided that there is a limit to how late you should check in, or some sort of customer service standards should've been upheld. Either stay at the desk, have a sign saying "please ring a bell" or even "please call" so I'm not worrying if I will have to spend the night on the streets, or at the bare minimum answer the call by apologizing for the confusion and try to be helpful.

The room was torn up, there was still dirt from the prior guests, broken mirror, broken drawers. It was a mess.

We didn't have the breakfast. Basic coffee and pastries. Room was good, clean. Bed comfortable. Good value for the money. Great location
Didn't have coffee before 7am and we are early risers. No coffee machine in the room

Convenient location, easy parking.
Very tired property. Superficially clean, but in a bad state of disrepair- damage and decay evident. Bit of a dump, to be honest.

Virtually no breakfast.
Place hasn't ever been updated. Needs painting, rewiring. Furniture pathetic.

I initially booked with this motel because it was cheap
The first room we were assigned I needed to use the restroom and there was 3 cockroaches on the floor. Looking around the room they were easy to spot and weren’t trying to hide at all, they were very comfortable. I went back down to the check in area and requested a different room. Same exact outcome- cockroaches on the wall, the desk. I requested a refund and the guy at the desk stated it would be back in my bank account within 5 business days. I never got the money back.

Parking around the building felt secure, the bed was comfortable and the table and fridge/freezer were nice. Shower worked well and the A/C worked so well we got cold. WiFi was decent
Some of the settings on the microwave didn’t work and it was close to the bathroom. The elevator worked but the lights on the buttons didn’t.

Very dated, non functioning phone and ac. One window was open and the other barely opened.

I had one roach in our room. This needs some roach traps or something. Needs to be protected, from the dirty ness surrounding all the down town buildings.

Nothing
The room smelled like cigarettes and had no coffee maker as showed in the description on line … they changed sky room and that one had roaches and could not give me another room it was the worse place I’ve ever stayed at

The facility was not well maintained and it felt like a room rented out by the hour. People outside would walk and I could feel the ground shake. If it wasn't midnight (3am from the time zone I came from) I wouldn't have stayed there. I literally woke up and left as soon as possible.
It needs a MAJOR renovation.

Two of us had rooms for the night. Both were not clean. There were noises outside, including people screaming almost all night. My colleague literally left the hotel around 3 AM and went and booked another hotel. I was only staying for one night so I tough it out. This place was horrible.

Great deal and location.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. We found beer bottle caps in the tub.

Nothing about this place is worthy of a score any higher than bad. I was severely cut by a broken box spring, pertruding out. It had been there for some time due to the size of the hole. Then, the roof of the shower has caved in, and they covered the hole with particle board on top of the shower. We just left after my injury. When brought to staff attention, no concerns over injury. Their reply " Oh; you should have called us at 1 am no. My concern was stopping my bleeding, which I do have several pictures of my fiancé was appalled at staff response, no concern for our well-being. Never once we're I asked if I was I ok? Called cooperate filed complaint never heard back.
So now I'm going to local media with my claim and video/pictures evidence showing just how bad this place is and management.
Nothing I rather sleep on the sidewalk than stay here. At least I'd know the chance of danger. I'm not expecting to be cut getting into bed. Never was I reimbursed for staying nothing from staff. Booking.com I wouldn't keep recommending people stay at the dive. Bad business.

Good location great price for Sacramento. They allowed me to park my car all day while I attended meetings (and before I checked in).
There are other hotels with more recent upgrades. But overall this is totally fine. If you just want a decent and clean place to stay for the night it will do the trick. Reminder: This is a motel. You park outside on a surface lot and enter your door from the outdoor hallway.

Room and grounds were clean and tidy. Room had everything I could need. Location relatively quiet after 11. Close enough to downtown where all the action is.

2nd time we've stayed here. Usual motel room and there is a lift. Plenty of parking. About a 20 minute walk to Old Town but if you walk in the opposite direction there are lots of different bars in little areas that are like villages. Very basic breakfast available but at least there is coffee and toast!

Good location, clean, hot water, polite staff.
The room was COLD- I don't think the building has any heating, and even with all the blankets in the room, we couldn't sleep due to the cold. Not a problem in warmer months, but be aware if you're travelling in the winter.
