Lounging in the lobby in front of the fire in the evenings.
Access to the Hot Springs and downtown.

A mini fridge would be nice.
Paying to park as an overnight guest.
I would not pay $6.00 for a post card! I wanted to share the experience with friends and family, but I sent them pictures instead. $1.00 per postcard is sufficient.

The Hotel Colorado is a perfectly placed, majestic structure with a storied past as one of the nation's destination hotels. Upon approach, you quickly realize that you've booked lodging in a special place. The rooms were bright, tidy and comfortable. All the needed amenities were provided and refreshed daily. The beds were luxurious and the room was well furnished. An adjustable ceiling fan was a nice touch, even with the 12-foot ceilings.
My room overlooked the courtyard where families gathered at night to chit-chat and roast marshmallows over pit fires from overbuilt Adirondack chairs.
It was also nice to have a hotel with quality room service, a cafe and an in-house spa. Guests in bathrobes and flip-flops simply crossed the street to visit the legendary Glenwood Hot Springs.
Would have stayed longer if I had the time.
With such an outstanding overall experience, it's hard to find flaws with the Hotel Colorado. An in-room refrigerator would have been handy and is almost a necessity these days, especially for those traveling with children.

The location was great. Front desk staff were very friendly.
Restaurant staff seemed annoyed every time someone walked in. It was 90+ degrees all week and the hotel does not have A/C. Cobwebs in all the corners tell me it isn’t cleaned very well. Towels were falling apart they were so old and ragged.
