I stayed here to avoid the high hotel prices in San Diego and I'm really glad I did!

My room was recently refurbished and was in excellent condition and everything worked as expected. The shower was great and there was a plentiful supply of towels and toiletries. The staff here went above and beyond the usual and really did care that your stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast was included and there was plenty to go around, the staff ensuring that everything was topped up and replenished frequently and the coffee was pretty good too and always available 24/7 Having an in room microwave and fridge was very convenient and was great for keeping my water and soft drinks cool but more importantly my beer too! At the end of my stay I made use of the on site laundry which was clean and well kept with detergent available at reception so no laundry to do when I got home which is a great help! Local convenience stores are located nearby and there are fast food and restraunts nearby if you've been sight seeing or out all day.

Although not really a complaint or grumble I found the mattress was a bit soft for my personal preference but that didn't prevent a good night's sleep. The only other thing that might bother others is the noise from the highway which was close by but some ear plugs would be a good item to bring if staying here and maybe at the next upgrade a double glazed window on the rooms facing the road. It really wasn't a problem for me personally.

The staff, stated that was a pet friendly hotel. I had a service animal and every time I turned around somebody stated that animal can’t be in this room or this animal can’t be here even though we registered and he was a he is a service animal.

I had a fine time at the La Quinta Inn

I’m used to eating oatmeal for breakfast. I didn’t see it. Otherwise, it was fine.

I couldn’t use the tv guide feature so I had to guess at the program. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

I was quite uncomfortable during my stay because the bathtub was leaking and the toilet kept running. It wasted A LOT of water, and it felt like the hotel didn’t care about the waste.

The staff was nice.

Looks very dated, carpet was not that clean. Towel holder broken, shower water leaked into bathroom. Breakfast was not very exciting. Was difficult to figure out how to change TV channels (the guide didnt work). Parking was limited if you came back late in the evening. Not the safest neighborhood.

Location, easy to get to outlets, shopping and airport. Clean, friendly and helpful staff, free parking.

I brought my boyfriend to San Diego for the first time to hang out with my friend and her boyfriend. About the only positive thing about this hotel was that it was about 1.5 miles from her house.

The biggest thing that I did not like was the fact that I called for room service (early in the morning) and they didn't show up to freshen up the room the entire day. We had to call for fresh towels and TP at 9pm that night when we returned from a day out. There was a couple times that I had to call for items that were not put in our room/replaced, when I called in the morning. So I wasn't sure what was going on with that. Bring your own TP when you stay here, odds are you wont get any. I noticed several folks commenting about how comfortable the beds were, ours wasn't that comfy. We were staying in an upgraded/updated room - maybe they didn't update the mattress? The ice machine was out of order in the section of the building that we were staying in.

Room 210- needs updating. It smelled like guest were allowed to smoke in the room. Carpet stains, No ventilation in the bathroom. Bathroom needs an update too, paint chipping.
