So cute! Fun little stay. Beds were super comfy. Parking spots are big & right in front of hotel door. Affordable! Location is perfect for travelers. There’s a little dog run on site.

convenient

it was easy to get our cases into the room no stairs to deal with. breakfast was basic but things like the water for tea was hot which I appreciated. The place to eat was quite cute. Room was a good size.

we did not stay that long, we got there late and left in the morning, we cut the trip short when we decided to go to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, so we did not stay long enough to rate anything else.

I hope to stay at the Retro Inn again!

Retro Inn in Cortez is fun, funky and colorful. We loved it! Seeing items from our past, like the Airstream out front, pink plastic flamingos on the lawn, old TV Guide covers on the breakfast table, were all great fun. The many various and great choices of breakfast foods, including tamales, were fantastic!

The front desk clerk, when we checked in, apologized for their breakfast not being that great. We thought quite the opposite.

Friendly people in a cool space.

It is so retro! There is a mannequin of Elvis sitting next to his turquoise camper near the street. We stayed in room 1958. Lots of musical references to those days.

Some equipment interior not well maintain.

The outdoor seating and swings added a nice rustic charm, and we also enjoyed seeing guests playing on the giant chess set.

Coffee machine and hair dryer were not working and the interior facility need improvement.

This motel will definitely be a great trip memory! Stay and enjoy this little gem!

This is a step back in time replicating the days of ultimate motel overnight stays. We had the 1975 room and were greeted with bright colored walls and pics of icons like Rod Stewart & Elton John! The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and we had a great shower. The property is fun with all of the little outdoor patio sets in front of each room, the giant lawn chess board, all of the sitting areas, swings and gazebo. The game room is a blast from the past offering a pool table and foosball table. The entry is decorated with a vintage camper, Elvis, & a darling Retro Inn motel sign. The property is a little dated and nothing fancy, but it's a great overnight stop! The continental breakfast was a light selection but enough to get us on the road. If you are looking for a fun place to stay - this is definitely it!

A few more selections for breakfast would be nice but wouldn't keep us from staying again.

Very cute hotel decorated in a retro style. Good breakfast and staff was friendly. Excellent parking.

Could have offered fresh fruit for breakfast. Walls between rooms were not well insulated. Kept awake most of the night by snoring in the room adjacent.

Amazing atmosphere and decorations

It was cozy, convenient, and the atmosphere with the staff and other patrons was exceptional. There was new laundry room facilities, pool, swings, PlayStation, board games, giant chess, foos ball and so much more. People sat outside and introduced themselves and talked about their vacations.

Loved the whole vibe of the hotel! The room was very comfortable! The breakfast was better than most hotels. The location is superb! The hotel is close to restaurants, attractions (Mesa Verde), and stores. Great setting if traveling with your furry kids.

Retro Inn Indeed

What I liked about the property was the dedication to the theme. The outside decor, even to the individual rooms were carefully curated. I very much enjoyed it the complimentary breakfast!

In my particular room, the A/C was extremely loud. The air conditioner’s fan cycling on and off would wake me up, disrupting my REM cycle. It also did not make a difference if I changed the setting from Auto, to Low, or High.

Great Dog friendly hotel!

This is a great hotel. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and dog friendly. The grounds are great for dogs, and they even have a fenced dog area. I love to stay here on my way to Arizona. ❤️

This hotel is a welcoming home away from home and an excellent value near Mesa Verde.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable. The unique decor of each room was an enjoyable touch. We also appreciated the nice landscaping, the outdoor games and the guest clubhouse. We felt welcome. The desk clerk also recommended an excellent place for supper--Agave Azul. This hotel is an excellent value.

Comfy beds, friendly guests, clean rooms, pet amenities. We accidentally threw our frisbee on the roof and the nice maintenance guy grabbed a ladder and retrieved it.

The sink backed up with smelly dirty water. Someone came with a plunger (used for toilets) to try to get the water down. Not a very pleasant experience.

Super cool place! The rooms are numbered by years. We were in 1977 and it was decorated in 1977 memorabilia. Very clean, comfortable, and fun!

Seemed like it’s getting run down

The location.

Didn’t seem as clean as it was seven months ago. Missing baseboard in luggage area.Outside door was dirty. The air conditioner was horrible very noisy.
