We had a great time at the Ambassador. Very good location for first timers in Honolulu. Staff were very helpful. Room and facilities are very clean and new.

The lobby and entry are beautiful. The staff is friendly. The room was disappointing. Old heavy painted over entry door. Old painted over bathroom door. And the sliders to the balconies throughout the hotel have to be original to the building. The sliders are so bad that the AC sensor trips as if the door is open because it’s impossible to get the door to close all the way. The old slider windows also let thru so much sound in the city. Really was hoping more was upgraded in the rooms. Carpet was already pulling up and this renovation was supposed to be only a year and a half ago. Unfortunately, they tried to do the minimum and call it a renovation.
