Extended Stay America Suites - Ramsey - Upper Saddle River

*** is the manager of extended-stay America in Ramsey New Jersey. My wife and I were staying there because we were flooded out. Our vehicle was destroyed by a mechanic in Bloomingdale New Jersey so because of the location, I either had to take an Uber or hope that one of the patrons had time to take me to the bank. One weekend we were having trouble getting around so that we could put the cash on one of our cards to pay for the room. Mind you we were never a problem, we never started an issue with staff or patrons alike, and we more than likely stay to ourselves. A little over a week ago, I was having the same problem. I walk with a cane healing from a broken ankle. This specific day last week, it was pouring down rain and the manager called the police on me because I was paying for my room late. He then turned around to say that my wife and I had to leave. That day it was pouring down rain, and as I mentioned before, our vehicle was destroyed by a mechanic so we were S O L. The staff there are very nice people, especially the female assistant manager. She is as sweet as pie, but the manager allowed his title to go to his head. He knew that I have a disability and he also knows that my wife works from morning until evening. He was very rude and condescending. His own staff says that he does not know how to talk to people. He actually talks to people like they are beneath him. Before all of this he seemed to be cool, but like the saying goes, you can only hide behind a mask for so long before you show your true colors. I will never recommend family, friends, Associates, or anybody for that matter to go and reside at the extended state of America located on 112 Route 17 north in Ramsey New Jersey. As long as he’s there, no one is safe. He knocks on the door and walks right in. That’s a breach of privacy. If you do happen to rent out a room in this specific location, beware! He said we had to be out by 7 PM or he was going to call the police again. I’m afraid of law-enforcement. In my experience, they shoot First and ask questions later. As I said previously, it was pouring down rain we were put out. My wife had reservations through her jobs perks. He said he’s going to cancel the reservation and refund the full price, but you cannot do that when it is one of the perks from your Employment. Now she’s going through issues with the company that her job receives the perks from. I pray for him because he needs it.

I have already recommended Family to stay here. Keep up the good work you guys.

The rooms here are just like studio apartments. People state of themselves and nobody bothers you. My wife and I would stay here anytime. Thank you for making it feel like home

This was a terrible experience. THe Hotel smells bad everywhere. Every thing is Old and smells like noone has occupied this room in a few years. The beds are hard and the room are unpleasant to the sight. Kitchen sink, microwave, and refrigerator a plus but needs to be upgraded. Everything here is OLD and outdadted!
