House / Villa - Saint Pierre d'Irube

Beautiful character property situated outside the village and so a short drive to the local bakery shops and about a 5 minute drive from a large Carrefour. the property is approximately 20 minutes from the beaches of Biarritz, with a fantastic swimming pool, which also has an outside shower. We brought inflatables with us so that and the table tennis provided a lot of fun. Owner communicates quickly by email with good English. We were required to sign a contract, that I have never been asked to do before, but it was all smooth. Usually a cheque is required on arrival whereas we agreed cash and this was promptly returned on the morning of departure. I only gave a 4 for the checkin process as a neighbour/friend greeted us who spoke no more English than we did French and when I called her on arrival, we weren't sure she had understood us. We all muddled through , although we weren't aware of the robot that cleans the pool daily- thankfully the owner responded very quickly by text when we messaged her about it and she showed us and sorted it out. A Lovely, relaxing holiday. Note you are not allowed to play the piano that is shown.

Nous avons passé une belle semaine en famille dans cette grande maison basque : fonctionnelle, bien décorée, cuisine équipée, piano disponible, grands volumes, proximité des lieux de randonnée, et aussi des villages basques. Nous avons été déçu par le manque d'entretien des extérieurs. Globalement, et compte tenu du prix pratiqué, certains points sont à reconsidérer comme la qualité des literies par exemple.
