The Hotel 39

Close to things we needed. Bout 15/20mins to beach and close to the highway. It was a great spot. Staff was nice.

The pool was smaller than we thought it would be (picture seems bigger to us lol) But I mean we swam in it everyday so it wasn't that bad. Some homeless folks around the parking lot. One mean mugged us after he wouldn't move and we drove around him at the entrance. But we felt completely safe the whole time. Were from small town America so it's a bit of a culture shock. But again no issues. Also we Stayed in an accessible room with a shower handle and pressure was bad and not adjustable. I have a bad back so it's a nice option when available.

I like how spacious the room was and how quick the front desk helped.

The area and the hotel is a bit dated. WiFi didn’t work.

Hotel 39 turned out to be so much better than we expected! Coffee and tea are available in the Reception area and there are some vending machines outside near the lift. I asked for and received two extra pillows, two extra towels and an extra blanket with no question. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable and attractively decorated with a large picture of the area above the bed. There was a microwave and a refrigerator and plenty of drawers and space to store luggage, a good sized desk and a chest of draws with a good surface area for extra places to put things. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped with toiletries. The basin and shower both had instantly hot water, good drainage (the basin had a fantastic plug that didn't leak) and the toilet had the best flush of all the toilets we experienced on our travels! The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. We were most impressed by the maid service every day which restocked the towels and toiletries, cleaned and remade the bed (even though we had already made it - we stayed in a 5 star Inn during our travels and the maid service did not remake the bed we had made each day so top marks to the Hotel 39 staff!). We did a lot of shopping while we were in the area and not one thing of our belongings was touched during our stay. On our second last night there was a disturbance by some other guests just along from us on the same floor. Their noise and commotion woke us at 00:30. We called down to Reception and the fellow manning the desk said he would come up and see what he could do. We were not 100% convinced that he would come up but he did and tried to get them to curb their noise. It subsided a little but did continue and we were contemplating calling the Police when they turned up anyway (we imagine the Receptionist called them) and sorted out the issue. All-in-all we were very impressed by this rather unassuming hotel and would definitely stay here again when next we visit.

The pillows could have been a little better (they were very small) and the lift quicker.

Location to nice restaurants.easy access. Nice staff.

Window seals are gone so you hear all the traffic noise. Awfully loud hard to sleep.

Once moved to a quieter room I was very happy!

Noise from street. No coffee maker in room. No luggage dolly had to tie up elevator with several trips rather than just 1.

Beds were comfortable bathroom were clean

Carpet was disgusting my baby walked around and her feet were completely black from the Carpets. Smelled like moldy air

The room was on the highest floor with an elevator.

The aircon was too noisy during the night. I think it was too old and made such loud noise at night. My dad and I had some bad time trying to sleep. I don't know if the AC was made that way or if it was too old.
