Ashworth by the Sea

The staff was impressive, especially because we stayed for 4days/3nights with a large family for July 4th and Hampton Beach was mobbed. Alexandra L on the cleaning staff was absolutely incredible! She checked on us every day and always made sure we had fresh towels, etc. We had no issues at all with the Ashworth or the employees. Yes you do pay $25 a day for valet but seriously it is worth it and the valet staff are also so amazing. It was HOT and crowded and they made us very comfortable with them taking our vehicle. (We have paid way more to park our self and walk around NY or Boston for a day or few hrs at a ball game.) So we have no complaints about the Valet it is totally worth every penny. The front desk staff stayed very composed even during the pandemonium of the holiday rush. They even treated our kids with the utmost respect when they would come down for goodies and allowed them to put them on our tab. Every restaurant at the Ashworth is also well worth the $$. We ate at a few other places on the boardwalk and they did not compare to the quality at any of the Ashworth restaurants. The Warfside Cafe has some of the best breakfast foods in New England!! Yet again the staff was Amazing! All in all you get what you pay for and we paid a lot and felt it was worth it. We are avid travelers and stay all over the Eastern seaboard as a large family and we were pleased! Sometimes it just boils down to a perspective.

The other guests! Some people just love to complain and I don’t understand it. You are at a Hotel on the 4th of July there are kids and they will laugh and have fun!! That is normal!!

Floors were dirty while walking without socks on and a lot of marks on the floor. Also a lot of bugs in and around glass doors. A lot in the room and out. While raining, there were a lot of leaks in the roof of the pool

Clean. Staff friendly. Restaurants on site were delicious

Building itself is in a good walkable location, ac worked well. Bed was comfy and clean. The cleaning staff did a good job with the room, but the lobby and halls needed more frequent cleaning.

Tried to call on the way to ask where to park, tried several times, no pick up. Bare minimum micro amenities in the bedroom. Very Small Room. Very poor water pressure in the shower, especially on the rain head. No matter what setting it was on. Water temp fluctuated during shower from lukewarm to hot. NO parking , you are forced to use valet parking and pay a 25 dollar parking fee and ofcourse we tipped as well. Very inconvenient to get your car for plans. Poor valets were running around crazy. This is a one and done. Back to The Inn at Rye Place, much nicer, larger newer room, less cost and free breakfast, more privacy and peace. Worth the 10 minute drive.
