The manager was very gracious, kind, and friendly. It was clean and quiet, considering the area.
The property across was a very rundown, decrepit, albeit open old school motel. My husband says it looked like a crack house, but I think it looked more like a very low income/homeless area.
That wouldn’t have been so bad—I don’t judge people based on their circumstances as long as they behave themselves, but the Microtel does NOT have its own entry off S 8th St. You HAVE to drive thru that parking lot to get to the Microtel. We were worried about the security of our car, and the staff asking us not to use the side/back entrances didn’t help.
Otherwise, the normal complaints…pillows were too small length wise and poofy…water pressure left a lot to be desired, and the AC was adequate, but not great.

The room was immaculately clean and the breakfast was also very good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. You get above and beyond what you pay for at this motel since the rates are a very low, cheap price.
The only bad part about this motel is that it is located right next door to another motel that's run down and kind of sketchy looking. In order to get into the Microtel Inn, you have to drive through the parking lot of the other motel.

Short drive to family
Entrance into motet was very hard to locate and enter.
Area south of motel was a scary spot, illegal activity and drug activity
