Overnight Stay

Quiet and comfortable, very pleasant stay. The motel is old, but very clean.

The only thing we didn't like was that the TV was a bit confusing. We had the clerk come help us, and although he fixed our issue, there was a pop-up that continued to show. We were able to delete it but the pop-up periodically showed. It was more irritating than anything.

Guess we need to ask for handicap unit the toilets are so low and no grab bar to get up off the toilet. I usually try to grab the door handle. So next time will see about handicap room

The property was clean and attractive.

The driveway entrance was hard to find. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Our backs were hurting when we got up in the morning. The toilet was so low, one would almost fall.

older hotel has needed some minor repairs to the room due to it being a handicap room and you could tell that some wheelchairs had banged into the walls especially in the bathroom. This is probably difficult to keep up with repairs.

There was easy access to the motel. The room was reasonably clean. It was shabby. The air conditioning was a wall unit that was impossible to control. It had to be on all night so we had the air blowing on us. Very uncomfortable.

The village Inn has deceived booking.com with a photo that is of 1/10 of the property and they put us in the shabby part of their property. Their lobby is dingy and small. they have a pool, but it is locked. We had no elevator to our room on second floor.

Pleasant minus a few things

There is no breakfast but they do have oatmeal which is nice and tea and coffee. There's no real services while you're there but it's inexpensive so I understand. They will swap out towels if you like

Deidre was in a mood at the front desk. I drove 14 hours to get there (visiting daughter in Oregon) but I grabbed their review card and she straightened up real quick and became nice. I understand everyone has bad days but damn, I just drove for 14 hours. I felt like a burden until she saw I might make a review. I don't usually participate in reviews being in service myself. The room: there was a giant clump of hair in the shower that the housekeeper missed. I ended up buying cleaning supplies at the dollar store and cleaning the toilet, shower and sinks myself and wiping off surfaces because after that clump of hair I didn't trust the housekeeper. The place wasn't terrible at all. It's a little outdated but the bed was really comfortable and we slept like rocks for the whole time we were there (with ear plugs) because there was a barking dog right next to us

Exceptionally clean, friendly staff, safe, great value

Exceptionally clean, VERY friendly and helpful staff. The courtyard with the fountain is lovely. Location was convenient right off the highway, water stayed nice and hot, and free water bottles, coffee, oatmeal, and granola bars in the lobby.

Walls were a little thin, we could hear when neighbors were watching TV or when housekeeping was cleaning the room next to us. Mattress and pillows could have been more comfortable. Overall these things are less important to us!

The grounds were very pretty and relaxing with the flowers and fountain. Very good location and easy to get to downtown Eugene and the University.

Friendly and accommodating front desk staff, Diedre. Lots of places to walk our dogs on and adjacent to the property. Great Asian food restaurant on premises.

While it says they are ‘dog friendly’ dogs are not actually welcome. Dogs are not permitted on the patio, lawn or courtyard. The place where dogs are allowed is full of tree sap and it stuck to our feet, fur and shoes. The room was dark and badly in need of deep cleaning and update. There were 3 spiders in my room! (That I saw)

About average for the cost....

Staff was great. Like the floors. Nice to have dog baggies available, and designated area for them to walk. I am gluten and lactose intolerant so the oatmeal was fine for the price of room. The faces above don't work.

Stairs to 2nd floor were along room 107 wall and at 5:30 am people were tramping up and down. Really loud! My dog doesn't bark to alarm me unless told to, (we travel alot) she got up and licked me and stood at attention (on the bed, sigh) the whole time they were on the stairs. Sometime before 8am the folks parked outside my room were up and down the stairs, and talking on their phone outside my window. I looked out, which made their young son run up the stairs again. As a 68 yr old woman, I didn't engage. Can't fix stupid.. Rude people are not Village Inn fault, so I stayed there again on return from Portland. Stayed in differant room because of stairs, and there was no hot water in shower. Changed room at 8am. Misplaced my benedryl for wasp sting in move, and clerk got me some at checkout. Decaf in room would be nice, coffemaker broken in both rooms 2nd nite. in room 113 I held the top closed and got coffee. Nice staff make up for alot, and may stay there again.

Okay Location.

It was conveniently located close to the mall and restaurants.

The pool and hot tub were both closed (wasn't advertised online), I asked for accommodations for my honeymoon stay and I received a message back saying yes and upon our arrival there were no accommodations, the microwave did not work correctly and our tub didn't want to drain when we showered.
