My wife loves the location. Close to south coast plaza and the airport. It’s always clean and the staff is always nice.
I don’t love paying $40 to park overnight.

Proximity to South Coast Plaza
They did not provide enough towels for 2 adults. They also did not refill our shower gel, after it had run out.

My wife loved the location so close to the south coast plaza! And minutes from John Wayne airport. And the staff all around could not have been more nice and helpful!! Think we will def be back!
Paying for parking is kind of a bummer. But not the end of the world.

The Avenue of the Arts is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful restaurant, walking distance to the Sergestrom Theater.
Nothing. It’s perfect in every way.

On arrival, the lady at reception was fabulous, helpfull and friendly.
The room was a dissapointment. I paid for a room with a balcony, not a sliding door with a 18 inch "ledge." No chairs to enjoy the balcony - well no chair will fit on the ledge. There is a non smoking policy, posted on the "ledge" - no smoking on the balcony/ledge. This is a joke. People were smoking pot/Marijuana on their balconies, exposing under age children to this habit. Please check the law about the use of Marijuana in CA.

Location is great. Centrally located to both freeways and beach towns. The small lake and park-like landscape behind the hotel are beautiful and tranquil.
The only thing we didn't like was that the attached room patios are incredibly small--barely fits two chairs much less two people.

No problems, I enjoyed my stay

The hotel is very conveniently located, clean and the surroundings are supringly quiet for being in a city. The hotel is in a peacful environment. The workstation in the room is spacious and well lit.
Check in time is 15h00. The room was not ready, we were told 5 to 10 min. After 30 minutes, we had to inquire again about the room. We received the same standard answer of 5 to 10 munutes. I missed my appointment and had to reschedule my meeting because of the no care attitude.

Room was joined with another room without any isolation and we were part of their start (violation of privacy). Amenities were unkept and unusable. The parking was overpriced, the food had to be purchased in insanely overpriced restaurant next door and when I wanted to address these issues, manager “couldn’t be found”

When it comes to food having a variety of options is essential as i do suffer major allergies and have dietary restrictions. The food was delicious when I dined however countless times I tried to order something they shared they didn't have it. After multiple times of being told no you can get a bit disappointed , but i still found something. One complaint while ordering a drink from the pool area i expressed im allergic to orange and cannot drink orange juice. I stated multiple times and opted for a pineapple margarits. When my drink came they said they didn't have pineapple so made it with orange juice. After the fact I explained multiple times I cannot drink orange. I even said I would take a cucumber spicy marg, but not even that suggestion came. To be served a drink completely opposite after stating allergies could have turned fatal as my epi pen was in my room. Please if someone tells you they are allergic multiple times and they give you alternatives please take those into consideration before making a huge mistake. I was not charged for the drink but the fear of them getting it wrong a second time worried me so I declined the chance to make it right .
travel with chairs. I use a cane and chair but when I do not have someone else the tub can be risky. Luckily the tub was low and there was a rail inside. The pillows are aweful and the towels rough. Despite minor disappointments I loved my stay. My breakfast was delicious and cocktails from the bar when we visited in the evening were stellar.
Customer service across the board was phenomenal. I can not thank the staff enough for their kindness and hospitable vibes during my two night stay.

Add a coffee bar in the lobby. It’s cumbersome to have to go to the rest. And what’s up with the $40 parking fee? A bit of a rip off.

Old property. Toilet seat was isn’t aligned, shower wasn’t hot enough, we also smelled someone was smoking even though it was a smoke free building.

I love that it was right next to OCMA and South Coast Plaza and the water pond out back was nice for a walk and view out my hotel window. The toiletries provided was also great. I wish there was toothpaste as I had to go out and buy that.
I could hear other guests very well through the walls and down the hallway. It wasn't very quiet. Also, there were hairs (from prior guests) stuck to the walls and ceilings in the bathroom that were not cleaned.

I liked how friendly the staff were. Truly kind and always friendly.
I wish I’d know that booking breakfast ahead of time would be a waste of money. It wasn’t enough to ruin the trip but it was a silly extra expense.

Already requested quiet area which hotel staff did arrange & very nice of them but still very loud from other room.
