Very nice.

I appreciated the fresh fruit and ease of heating the food.

Would have preferred less processed food and more whole grain breads and cereals. The reconstituted eggs were inedible. Hard boiled eggs would be good for people who want a simple protein.

Comfortable overnight stay

The check-in was fast. Location to our room was good. The king room overlooking the pool was generously spacious, we were not expecting a little balcony, but there it was. My husband was impressed by the smart tvs, it was very easy for him to cast his phone to the tv. It was very quiet, the bed was comfortable.

The decor of the room and the furniture are very dated (meaning old).

Lovely hotel

The sheets were really scratchy. First night I did not sleep well. I was in an accessible room and called to see if they would deliver ice to my room. The person said they would, but no one ever came. A second time I called and asked for a blanket. Never got one.

Breakfast was OK. Bacon was undercooked but eggs were great. Salsa needed refilling.

The plates & cutlery, etc. were on the counter, right in front of someone's seat, making people have to reach over that person's food to take their plates utensils. Not good. Or particularly sanitary...

Front desk check-in personnel had such terrible attitudes and need more customer service improvement. Check-in keys not working, even 2nd night. No instruction when and where breakfast is going to serve. When asked questions, seems tried to ignore in response. Will not stay on next visit Pismo Beach.

Very old building. Ownership has not been keeping up with the maintenance of the facility. Carpets & cloth furniture gross. If your going to spend your money I suggest shopping around to get a better room. No elevator so you have to carry your luggage 3 floors

It's always a nice stay. The rooms are large, the beds are comfy, nice breakfast-free 👍, & to receive service or ask if service is needed every day is the best! Peaceful garden area, nice grounds, and a large area for fido - equipped full with doggie bags, around the back. I've seen my share of affordable around the SLO area, and you couldn't find a better place for the price. Pool and sauna on site with a laundry room. Starbucks, a gym, and a grocery store within walking distance. The staff at the front desk have always accommodated me and been very cordial.

Beds were comfortable, location was perfect, breakfast was very good! Loved that there was two spots to have breakfast, the upstairs spot had big tables and not busy like the one by the pool.

Cleanest hotel I have stayed at and we stay at hotels four times the price we paid here often. I was impressed at everything. The (free)continental breakfast was a great way to start my day at the beach.

The lady at the front desk could have had a better personality. The breakfast staff was very warm, inviting and helpful.

The floor drain in the bathroom are not working, it took a long time for the water to drain away after the shower floor was filled with water tight parking if you got a room at the other side on 3rd floor, you have to carry your luggages to walk through a long distance from the elevator

One of the worst hotels I stayed in

Location only

Place is very old. Rooms have the smell bad. Furnitures and carpet are old. Something triggered my allergies in the room. I was sneezing the entire time. Room key cards kept resetting every morning. Bed is so soft. Not good if you have bad back. It is so inconvenient to go back and forth to the front desk to reset them! Breakfast room is so tiny considering how many rooms the hotel has. Overall a bad experience and not worth for the price we paid!

Visiting friends

I have stayed with this hotel for at least 3 times and every time has been nice and the breakfast well get it first thing in the morning because the eggs can be watery from sitting in a warmer with a lid on top of them. I love that you can leave your keys in your room and do a fast check out without having to stop by the front desk.

Great location, lovely little waterfall & rose garden!

We've stayed here a number of times over the years and always enjoyed it. The variety of breakfast options was good although the fresh fruit ran out pretty quickly. The beds were comfortable with plenty of plush pillows & just the right weight of bedding, not too warm or too cool. The fireplace with chairs in the lobby is very inviting with coffee & tea offered makes a nice check-in experience.

Although it's advertised as "non-smoking" our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. In past stays the staff have always been friendly & helpful. This time they were more aloof and disinterested.
