Absolutely fabulous!

Not only does Sandcastle Hotel have a great location, they also have a patio with heaters overlooking the ocean. Also, they have free bikes that you can use to explore the town.

Go to be watching the sun set over the ocean to wake up to the sound of waves, and nothing else!

Fantastic location. Best thing was the walking distance to the beach, pier, and everything in Pismo. Very convenient and what an awesome sight to wake up to the beach, ocean, and waves, even in December!

$30/night for parking in winter was a shock. I understand supply and demand, but winter on the central coast is hardly "high demand".

Perfect location and beautifully decorated for the Holidays. Clean lovely room

The Deck closed 2 hours early. Thus we had to walk to find a restaurant open. A member of our family was in a wheelchair. We planned to dine there after check in but now had to go get takeout.

It was a wonderful stay.

It is beach front. The staff is very accommodating. It is family owned. The 3rd floor and 1st floor has decks with gas fireplaces and lounge chairs. Connects to the pier and local ears and shopping.

I was surprised that they charge $30 a day for parking.

A lovely place very close to the sea

Pismo Beach is a beautiful place, and the hotel was lovely too. A large room with an ocean view. Everything was very clean and tidy. The service was excellent. The hotel feels modern inside, and it is very well decorated. The beaches are beautiful and wide but somewhat dirty due to plants and debris from the sea. Just a few blocks away is one of the best places to order cinnamon rolls

Great location! Loved the area.

The staff was amazing! They were very accommodating. We upgraded one night to an ocean view. It was wonderful watching the ocean from our deck. The hotel is a perfect location for walking to the shops and restaurants. Beautiful outside sitting area with fire pits.

The rooms are just standard rooms and ocean front room was small. Really nothing fancy except Starbucks coffee in the room.

Expensive but best location in Pismo

Great access to beach. Friendly staff. Good cafe.

Neighbors were super loud late into the night, kept the kids awake. Staff said they would check it out but it didn’t stop. Cafe was out of many of the ingredients needed for their drinks and coffees. Price had increased significantly.

Gorgeous ocean views hotel, not completely comfortable for ADA.

Clean, nicely decorated, great ocean views, right on the beach! I loved my ADA bathroom...well done!

My ADA room had a low platform bed that was hard to get out of. I didn't have a chair in my room, just a low, slanted chaise lounge I couldn't comfortably sit on or barely get out of. And no chair to sit at my table.

Beautiful views of the ocean from the outside sundeck. Restaurants nearby are very good.

The room and shower/bathroom facilities were very good. We also enjoyed eating breakfast at the cafe downstairs off the deck.., also Happy Hour drinks and prices were very good. It was lovely sitting outside on the deck with an electric firepit, looking out to the ocean. The room maid service staff were very accommodating and helpful.

The room fan and thermostat was extremely hard to figure out to control the temperature of the room. Also we checked in by phone call to the front desk, we asked for an upgrade... possibly to upgrade to a room with a balcony. The staff member at the front desk quoted it would cost $200.00 more per night. RIDICULOUS! The parking fee of $25/night was RIDICULOUS.

It was dated, the rooms were shabby with peeling wallpaper, old furniture, two different plugs didn’t work, no safe, bathroom door didn’t shut properly, stains on walls and bathroom doors, room smelt of cooking from the kitchen below, very noisy, no balcony just a window with dirty curtains. For over $600 for one night I expected better.

Parking charges are high for guests even though on street parking is free. The walls in the hotel are paper thin, we had to move rooms due to noise from above,the 2nd room was just as bad

On our second night there, a child was asleep in the room and we had someone pounding on our door and we could hear them running away. We brought it up to staff but they were unable to do anything about it. It felt like we weren’t being heard about our concern.

Great location. Walk to everything

AC in room extremely loud. Could not hear tv when it came on. We were on third floor of separate building and when rooms on each ac came onside the humming was loud also. Our 2 rooms were in separate buildings. Not good if you have small children.
