It is a wonderful, quaint place. The rooms are great, it’s clean, and peaceful. The staff is amazing as well. I will stay here again.
One minor inconvenience was I had a trailer with me and it made parking difficult. However, I was able to unhitch it and park it next to my truck. No one bothered it.

The price was right! We paid for a clean, safe place to lay our heads for an affordable cost, and we got it. The gent who checked us in—wears a Deadpool hoodie that matches one his nephew has—was really lovely, too. I'll be honest and say that, as a Queer person, I had some anxiety around going to a small mountain town where it's probably safe to assume there are a lot of conservatives, but he was very kind and helped me feel a lot more comfortable in Durango overall with his hospitality and geniality! I wish I could remember his name! I was really grateful that he set such a good tone, and, honestly, I had no awkward or hostile encounters with anyone during our visit.
We weren't told how to turn on the heat, so the first night of our stay was brutally cold! Even after we figured out the heat situation (the AC units double as heaters!), the door to the motel room was also not quite flush, and there was an especially large gap under the door that REALLY needed a buffer. A really nice quality of life improvement for the motel would be ordering under-the-door draft stoppers, which may have the added bonus of muffling some of the sounds from outside as folks come and go—it could be pretty noisy at times, and I'm a light sleeper. I also feel that peep hole covers should be installed on the motel doors as they inherently work both looking out from the door as well as looking in to the room. Finally, the last improvement I would have loved would have been if the guest PC in the main office would have had a working mouse so that it was useable.

Bedding sheets were great; Although cover was stained and looked hard used. Great Hot-Water Shower;
A lot of dead bugs, all small beatles in windows and around the room and bath. Bathtub needs to be updated, (yellowed plastic with old caulking around the tub.
