Could’ve used a better bed and some heat, but the space heater helped and the price was right.

Coffee was ready in the lobby and the staff was super friendly and helpful. It was close enough to downtown and the river, making walking an option.

The bed was awful. The springs were worn out in the middle, making us feel like we were sleeping at an angle. There was no heat in the room, but they did provide a space heater. Signs were posted to not back into the parking spots. The first morning, a car was parked backward outside our room, and the driver warmed it up for over 20 minutes, filling our room with fumes. I understand this isn't the hotel's fault, but it would have been nice if they had addressed the rude customers.

We mainly stayed to go on the Silverton train and a wonderful time there.

Very old and some things didn’t work. I.e. the bathroom sink, you had to be careful on shut it off. No stopping device. The cabinets in the bathroom have not been up kept.

The Adobe Inn is a basic affordable motel and perfect for a quick stay in Durango.

The room was clean, with a comfortable bed, soft sheets, smooth, fresh towels, and a hot shower with nice water pressure. For a one-night stay, the Adobe Inn was perfect. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was close to the historic area of Durango with lots of dining and shopping options.

The air conditioner was a bit loud and needed maintenance, which I reported to the staff in the morning. Luckily, the August nights in Durango are cool, and we were able to use the fan setting and stay comfortable in the room.

Absolutely awful

Location was ok. Horrible from start to finish. Dirty, disgusting! Nothing like the pictures listed. Staff was rude ! Would never recommend to anyone .

Hard to say.

It’s something out of some crime drama where you might see some poor victims or not so savory characters staying. The set up is open to outside with a front door that doesn’t fit properly into the frame where you see the actual open gaps around the door. Yeek cheap curtain that barely closes all the way with AC that’s so loud, you’d think you have a a loud motor running nonstop where you can’t fall asleep. The bed is cheap and lumpy. Pillows small and flat. Open bathroom where if one of you get up earlier and have to turn the light on to use the sink, the person still in bed will be blinded by the light. I was just driving through the town and stayed one night before continuing our trip but we didn’t feel safe at night with such flimsy door and felt just yeek and couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there the next day. Not recommended for single female travelers or with a daughter. Biker gangs, sure, no problem unless you’re one of those weekend Harley warriors , then you might want to seek poshier lodging. The price I paid here was higher than what I paid for at a much better cleaner hotel in Fort Collins! Maybe Durango isn’t known for hotels, I do not know. I don’t ever plan to stop there anytime soon.

Ok for one night but not for extended stay

It was clean.

While the room was clean it didn’t have any amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, soap. It didn’t have a phone in case of emergency available. No outlets to hook up your electronics for charging The bed was 12 feet away from the TV on the wall was small so you couldn’t see the TV very well. If you wanted to change the channel you had to be in front of the TV. Noisy from the Main Street traffic and the cooling/heating/fan system rattled and very loud. It was not comfortable at all. It is an old motel over 50 years old. Some remodeling but it really needs to be updated.

Not worth the money! Hot tub only plus!

Hot tub was the only plus in this hotel.

The bed was horrible. You can feel all the springs in the mattress. Smelly, mold and caked on dust. Door doesn't fit properly. Loud, dirty. The AC unit is so loud and not very effective. Do not recommend!

The hotel was okay its good for a one night stay. It was just a run down spot pretty much with little to no personality the location is in the center of town.

Adobe Inn dump

Nothing other than the ac was cold.

Floors were dirty. Tub was dirty.Walls in bath were dirty. Chipping paint in main room. Counters old, fixtures cheap and old. Beds drooping and old, and could feel the springs! Caulking in bath was nasty too. The exterior of the building is falling apart. Basically a dump but had to stay because it was prepaid to bookingdotcom and the town was full up!

Location is good; near exit of town toward Purgatory. Bed was good. There is an outside sitting area.

Ice machine was broken the entire time we were there. The hot tub, too, was broken. It was eventually fixed. No towels or towel rack near the sink.

Reception was unfriendly. Ice machine was out of order announced by a sign that appeared to be quite old. Facility very outdated and in ill repair. Lawn area was covered with weeds. Outside smoking ash trays in need of emptying and cleaning.

She was in her 70's and seemed resentful that she was still having to work at her age. I felt so sorry for her husband. He was doing all the work, laundry and such. Obviously beaten down after a life with her. As I mentioned above, the room was filthy! The air conditioning filters were 90% occluded with black sticky goop and the room just smelled dank. There was no continental breakfast, not even a doughnut or muffin. The hot tub was not operable and the days were in the 80s. I have stayed in a lot of dive motels in my 61 years of living ... this one takes the award for worst ever.

Attitude

Check in was fast nice guy then asked i where the hottub was he pointed to show me. Came back after dinner and tried to go but t it was locked at 8 pm i went to the front desk and a different guiy told me. It was closed because it had been shutdown so I asked for a discount and told him. I have a dog coming and wanted me to pay the $30 but just wanted to call it even. he told me that I would have to pay the $30. For the dog and I wanted to discount for the hot tub not working so I told him. We'll just call it even and he said well. Do you have a dog you're gonna have to pay it?

Very Nice Stay

Check in was exceptional, other staff was helpful and friendly and room clean (passed the barefoot in the wet bathtub test). Enjoyed the rustic nature of the room and cabin, since I stayed in both in the course of our stay.

good location, good price point for a holiday. The owner/manager was very helpful in light of the fact I arrived after 11pm.

the shower leaks water on to the floor no matter how tightly you arrange the shower curtain. So I'm sure the wood underneath must be rotten since the floor is "mushy" to walk on. Needs better lighting on the driver's side of the bed. The street noice is not terrible but it is noticeable.

I was not comfortable nor did the location of the hotel made me feel safe. I got bit by bed bugs & there was an odor in the room that was unpleasant. Blankets had pet hair on them and sheets/pillows did not smell or feel clean. Bed was very worn out.

Friendly and helpful front desk staff

First room we were put in had no heat. Front desk person explained that the heating system was a bit funky and walked to the room with us to show us the trick to get it working. It did not work and the outside temp was 30 degrees. You could see the gap between door and frame and feel the cold air coming in. . We went back to front desk where he was kind enough to put us in a different room. That room had a noisy floor heater. A couple times during the night we heard very loud noise that sounded like a jack hammer. Don't know it it was plumbing noise or something else.

the walls were paper thin and we couldn't sleep because the noise in rooms around us. didn't seem clean. we left behind a kindle and when we called they said they didn't find it, called again to ask them to look and still nothing. it wasn't until I went through booking.com that they said they had it and we could pick it up. glad we persisted but it was upsetting that it seemed someone wanted to keep it.
