We stayed at this hotel for one night. The first receptionist who welcomed us was very kind and pleasant, and we really appreciated her friendly attitude. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was very disappointing. Our room was located right next to the hallway area with a vending machine. There was a constant low-frequency noise and vibration coming from that area. We could not only hear it, but actually feel the vibration in our room, especially when lying in bed — it genuinely felt as if the bed itself was vibrating. Because of this, we were unable to sleep properly the entire night. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable overall, with some significant exceptions. There was food left in the refrigerator from previous guests, and the refrigerator smelled absolutely terrible. The microwave also had a very unpleasant smell, and there were hairs in the sink. Finding someone else’s food in the refrigerator of a supposedly cleaned hotel room is simply unacceptable. When we went to reception and explained the situation, the second receptionist told us that they would inform the cleaning service. That was it. No apology, no attempt to resolve the issue. We were left wondering what exactly we were supposed to do with the old food and the smell in our room. Regarding the noise and vibration, we were told that there were no other rooms available and that nothing could be done. Again, there was no apology, no alternative solution, and no form of compensation offered, despite the fact that the issue prevented us from sleeping for the entire night. We understand that problems can happen in any hotel. What matters is how the hotel responds to them. Unfortunately, in this case, the response was simply not adequate. For a three-star hotel, we expected a much more professional approach to both cleanliness and guest complaints. Leaving food from previous guests in a room and then showing very little concern when guests report that they cannot sleep because of constant vibration is not acceptable. We left very disappointed. Based on our experience, we do not feel that the service we received was consistent with a three-star hotel rating.
