Unwind and enjoy the moment.

Service is incredible! We love dining, esp the brunch at J Grahams. Lobby shop is full of interesting things including gorgeous Derby Hats. The rooms are spacious with an air of quiet luxury synonomous with the spirit of the Bluegrass. The Brown is a bit of history that is still relevant in our busy world.

If you like historical architecture and some elegant stay this is the place!

What a beautiful old historical hotel! There is a connected parking garage with easy access and great restaurants around to reach by foot! The distance to the airport also was nice - 10 minute by car! The bar was very nice and had some Great cocktails along with a pianist playing in the lobby! The food was amazing!

Some items may be a bit outdated - but overall Might be just my preference

White spats and Arrow collars

Grand old hotel. Beautiful Public spaces, with a time-worn, slightly frayed-around-the-edges look, rooms are classic federal style, but appear dated. Brunch - a big hit. Want to get the best bang for your buck, better come hungry. Pastries were perfection (the Brown reportedly has an in-house pâtissier, shhh). Front desk staff were so kind and so very helpful. Valet man had the coolest vibe, polite and thoughtful too. All in all, my visit to The Brown was a real gas.

Not sure about the hotel's location. Seemed somewhat isolated from downtown, activities, restaurants, etc.

From the moment we met Curtis we really enjoyed our stay in Louisville. A walm and welcoming hotel & town .

Amazing quirky property. Curtis & Amy @ reception could not have been more helpful and attentive. Lab the shuttle bus driver was superb guiding us around the town ( yes the shuttle service is amazing) . The room was very comfortable and breakfast had so many options .

Don’t stay there

The lobby area is pretty

TERRIBLE experience overall due to an unauthorized use of OUR VEHICLE by the valet parking attendant. We arrived at 6 PM with two vehicles and handed them off to the valet named Simon. We checked in, went to our room and straight out to dinner at 6:30 PM. When we returned to the hotel around 10 PM, the valet, Simon, WAS SITTING IN OUR VEHICLE WITH THE CAR ON AND LISTENING TO THE RADIO. He had no explanation for why he was hanging out in a valet parking spot across the street from the hotel with our vehicle running listening to music. Beyond that, the management did not apologize. They listened to our complaint. Did not apologize for Simon‘s behavior. Did not admit that this was not standard valet behavior. So I took the keys to both vehicles from the hotel and self parked and paid the self parking rate. I was shocked by the terrible customer service of the entire hotel staff in not admitting that this behavior was not acceptable and no apology. Beyond that, the rooms are old, dated & dark. I would never recommend this hotel. SAD.

The breakfast buffet was way over priced made the mistake of sitting down and saying ok to buffet without asking about price 84 dollars for eggs sausage and bacon and fruit was ridiculous

Room 943 smells musty and moldy & you cannot open the windows.

Has charm the public areas are great overall. Couldn’t access the roof top per the advertisement but it will bring you to floor 15 or 13 which is complete demoed and a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The associates were friendly, accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable, polite, and courteous. We will be back. The room, bath, and furniture were good.

Staying at The Brown is an experience everyone should enjoy in their lifetime.

The historical atmosphere of The Brown creates a warm, welcoming environment. My room was available early and it was beautiful. I fell in love with the bathroom. The staff was incredible, from Bianca in J, Graham to the hostess in The Lobby Bar. For dessert, one has the try the Striptease Flambé.

I couldn’t stay longer. Wish I could’ve gotten a tour of the Muhammad Ali suite.

Convenient location for a planned event but otherwise it was wildly overpriced for dated facility.

Hotel was adjacent to event that we were attending which made it convenient. The staff was friendly.

Everything felt dated which was fine for the architecture but not for the amenities. The hotel was obviously pumping a flowery scent through the ventilation system before every time we stepped off of the elevator it felt like running into a wall of flowers and there were none in sight. In our bathroom, we could everything that the people in the next room talked about. They weren’t loud it just came through the vent crystal clear.

Three wonderful days of drinking, dining and relaxing at the beautiful and welcoming Brown Hotel!.

The public spaces in this hotel are so very beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming. It is hard to leave. Fun just to relax in one of the many sofas or chairs and just look at all the historic details. Then the shop is full of fun stuff to browse or buy. All of the staff are terrific, especially Chris who makes dining and drinking (the Hot Brown not to be missed) in the hotel special. He is so knowledgeable about Bourbon and went extra to help us to understand and appreciate this Kentucky wonder. Breakfast staff and food are very good and accommodating. The elevators are quick, smooth and quiet. Shower pressure good. Bedrooms large and bed comfy. This hotel is now joins with The Merchant in Belfast as my very favorite two hotels. Would love to return soon and often regardless of what is happening in Louisville, though there is a lot to see, sample and do. The Brown and Louisville make a great team! Treat yourself!

Bedroom is not nearly as attractive as the public spaces, but then they were a lot to live up to. Hallways were a bit dark as well. The two chairs needed arms to make them more comfortable. More places to place makeup etc in the bathroom. Otherwise, having our stay end.

Southern hospitality was all around us. Requested an early check in. Very accommodating. Our friends needed a later checkout, again very accommodating. Large lobby so our friends could all hang out together.
