The location was great for the conference center. It was right there in Gaslamp so it was good for walking.
The room was laid out by some stoned 70' hippy and just never really updated. There were odd angles and obvious quirks. The bed was very uncomfy. Our room only had hot or scalding water and hotel couldn't fix it. Even our toilet had hot water! A glass had broke in our room and after asking twice it was never cleaned up.

the wrap around balcony was everything !
the lights in the bathroom, there was two switches, only one worked :/ and the outlet didn’t work so i had to do my hair in the living room but it was fine! natural lighting is better

The view was amazing, always responsive customer service.
when I first walked in the room smelt like grandma or a weird smell not sure how to describe it. The door lock from the outside was broken as well and the the handle to it was falling off.

Clean, great location, and always great!
I wish there was an actual door to the bathroom instead of the sliding door. It would be great if there was already a mini fridge for personal items included instead of calling to ask for one.

I liked stairs with lights that’s about it.
I didn’t like how the rooms felt wonky the carpet wasn’t even all the way on the floor in some areas. I didn’t feel comfortable at all. The room is also supposed to be an upgraded Woodstock suite but I felt like I was in a motel 6 honestly. The view was horrible I feel ripped off.

The location was perfect for attending a concert at Petco Park, and there were lots of restaurants within walking distance. The room I had was really nice with a great view of the concert venue. The staff was also really nice.
The overall stay was wonderful and very relaxing! It's worth mentioning that there is a nightly deposit for the hotel that gets refunded after your stay. I did not know about it until I checked in. It's possible that the information was presented to me beforehand and I overlooked it.

Still feels modern, despite it having been here for years.
Rooms / mini-suites are really spacious with good views.
The bar closes too early.
The restaurant closes way too early.
… although to be fair, there are loads of bars and restaurants within a stone’s throw of the property so it isn’t really a problem.
Valet parking (the only option) is a bit pricey at $65 / night.

The location was ideal for the eventI was attending. The Rock and Roll memorabilia in the lobby was really cool
There was a private event taking place on ground level and there was not a separate entrance for room guests to enter thru which was a hassle. Having to deal with the club line to get back in to my room was annoying. Beds are way too soft, no back support at all.

We enjoyed the hotel’s decor, both in our room and in the common areas. The location was convenient for attending a game, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby.
Unfortunately, we weren't there for a game and the blinding lights and noise from the ball field were troublesome. If staying here during baseball season, I'd make sure to get a room on the opposite side of the hotel.
The front desk clerk recited (very quickly) a list of things when we checked in. We had no idea what she said.
The parking was VERY expensive.

We liked room service, the bed (except the corners) and the view.
The bed corners, we kept hitting our legs and feet.

The valet service was atrocious. We checked in Tuesday at 4:30pm and were told we could keep our car in valet the next day while we attend the Padre game. There would only be a charge for one night. After the game at 3:30 pm it took the valet 45 minutes to get our car. We were the only couple waiting. All other customers were having no problem. They kept telling me my car was “stuck in traffic because of the game”. Complete BS. When I went in to discuss with the manager and wanted a refund I was told sorry- your valet was for the game not a hotel stay even though we did spend the night before at $450!!!!! She was rude and didn’t care it took that long for my car. Valet is $65

Location is excellent for attending a Padre game at Petco. Breakfast options good.
The San Diego Hard Rock seems to have emulated Las Vegas a bit too much. Expensive parking (expected) and various fees and charges that did not add value to the experience. Weird furniture, really strange room layout with glass doors on the shower and toilet areas that open into the room. Bed platform extended beyond mattress dimensions that was a real hazard to shins and toes when negotiating it in the dark and sharp corners on about everything. Overpriced minibar (not unusual) and adult toys offering contributed to whatever vibe they are chasing. Not coming back.

Convenient to Petco Park
I got barely any sleep. All I heard all night were people at the parking garage revving their cars, blaring music, trash cans and dumpsters on the street and people screaming and partying until 4 am which made getting up and out by 11 miserable.

Location was very convenient for an Angels game (4 min walk) and great location to at the end of the Gaslamp District. We just parked the. And and walk everywhere. (15-18 min) walk to Seaport Village.
Check-In staff was not as professional and gave misinformation about the parking and that the elevators needing your room card to be scanned in the elevator in order to use the elevator. Ask the valet staff about the self park parking garage around the corner is much cheaper.

Location is great for the sea front and city. The staff were so friendly.
Strange arrangement for breakfast with a restaurant accessible from the hotel and the street.

The location for a concert at the Rady Shell can't be beat. You just walk up 100 steps over the convention center and down 105 steps and you're almost there. There are many places to eat nearby. Baja Rick's Cantina just across the street of the front entrance was excellent. Meze Greek Fusion around the corner is also superb.
I normally don't like to complain, but there were a few items that needed help. Despite only one light on the bathroom mirror working, the general lighting in the bathroom was a bit darker in the shower. The full heavy glass door on the shower was a bit sagging out of from top hinge, causing it to not shut completely. The blowdryer cord was only about 3 feet when extended, so it was difficult to dry hair while leaning over the sink -- the outlet was surprisingly towards the back of the counter down lower. The poor bed platform was larger than the mattress, and although the corners were padded in the same dark brown finish, we would always give a shout every time the corner caught our foot. I'm not sure if it was designed for a larger mattress or if the general plan was to take out as many ankles as possible. Despite the well sound insulated double paned windows and nice darkout curtains, the incessant ringing of the Gaslamp Quarter Tram railroad crossing every 15 minutes (and another 15 minutes for the opposite direction tram) kept ringing in my head all night. I don't know if they run larger intervals at night, but all I heard all night was the bing bing bing of the railroad crossing.

Ive stayed here on multiple occasions but this last trip was with my family for a padres game. Location is perfect, in the heart of gaslamp, walking distance to sea port village, and the padres stadium entrance is right around the corner. Rooms are good size, all the staff is super friendly, & bonus theres a restaurant and Starbucks downstairs.

The bed is comfy. On the 10th floor I had a nice bay view.
There was mold in the shower. Parking is an extra 65 per night. I would self park close by instead.
