Anaheim Portofino Inn & Suites

Upon arrival around 3:30 pm, I was greeted by a young woman with short brown hair at the desk. She spoke about 200 miles per minute and needs to slow down. This young lady needs to be re-trained. She informed me that our family room was unavailable and had to wait until 4 pm to check in, that we could check our bags and to wait by the luggage door. I waited for 20 minutes by the luggage door while Robert was checking in other guests...by the way the guests that were standing behind me when I was speaking to the young lady they were being helped by Robert and I couldn't help but overhear that they were also checking into a family room and they were checked in by Robert immediately 😕 we were denied our room just 60 seconds prior by the young lady who speaks like she an auctioneer. She was rude, and made me instantly regret booking here. I then see her leave like her shift was over after waiting for 20 minutes for her to meet me at the luggage door. Robert who clearly had a line out the door of guests waiting to check in noticed I had been waiting a very long time came to help me check my bags. At first because he was busy and working alone on a Saturday night (which is crazy to me by the way). Why was he the only person working the front desk on a Saturday night? Anyway after all of that it was 3:55 I left the lobby to park my vehicle which took 30 minutes to find parking at this hotel. I get back in line to check in at 4:30 thst process of waiting in line and checking in took an hour and 10 minutes. Robert holding fown the entire guest list by himself without any support from other staff members or management. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE IM SURE YOU DONT PAY HIM ENOUGH OR DESERVE HIS LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE. MANAGEMNT SHOULD PROMOTE THIS MAN ROBERT. Hire more people to work the front on a Saturday. Robert was like superman any other human dealing with that level of guest relations alone would probably have walked out and quit. Room service, overtime we ordered or food was deliverd wrong, wrong items, missing items, terrible. Rooms are very dated. No surfaces to put things, very little storage for items when traveling with big group. Even in the family rooms. They knew we were 6 guests two of the beds in our room were not made up upon check in. There were only 4 towels and when we requested more for a total of 6 guests we had to waot 24 hours before we were given those towels and sheets. This was a terrible experience and by far the worst hotel we have stayed at by the park. We had 2 birthdays we were celebrating and this hotel about ruined our time and the horrendously long check in process cost us our birthday dinner reservations literally ruined our plans for the night. We will never book here again and we already told all of our friends and family what a horrid experience we had. Also even upon request they will not make up your room before day 3 of your stay. 6 guests 3 kids needs rooms serviced daily period. We hate portofino inn and we will never come back.

We love staying at the Portofino! We've stayed twice with our young baby, its been quiet, clean and the staff is very friendly. One of the closest, cheaper hotels in the area. My only gripe is that if you aren't out of your room by like 8:30 aM at the latest, you will not get room service. We did not get room service at all during our recent 3 night stay. Other than that, we do enjoy staying here and highly recommend it!

We have this place 2 chances and both times our experience has been the same. The lobby and staff is nice however the rooms are very dirty and ran down. Everything felt and looked dirty. There is dust build up and spiderwebs in room. The phone was not working along with outlets. The location is great but we will not be giving this hotel a 3rd chance.

Nothing fancy here two beds, everything was ok but the room had a strange smell the whole time
