Facilities and staff were great. The hotel is nearly 100 years old, but it has been meticulously maintained. Location in downtown Seattle was ideal.
Dull lighting in the public areas.

We loved our spacious room, especially the extra sitting room and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was pretty quiet. (The street outside, not so much.)
We wished that Andaluca had been open, as we've been wanting to dine there for a long time. A tea kettle in the room would have been great.

Perfect location. The room was larger and better appointed than I expected.
Could hear conversations from the room next door pretty clearly. There was some visible mold in one of the bathrooms.

Great location, friendly, excellent service and cleanliness. Also, having a cocktail lounge with great food as well as drinks.

Great location, good value for money.
My view was basically non-existent. I was looking directly at some sort of climate system. Even worse was the noice that thing made. Also the staff at the reception. Nothing bad happened and the conversations itself were okay, but I would expect to be greeted preemptively with a short “Hello” by nearby staff or the receptionist when they’re not busy with other customers.

Beautiful historic hotel with a classic feel. We were on the 11th floor with views over downtown streets. We ate at Olivers in the building, which also had a nice historic feel & lovely food.

The location was fantastic. Easy walk to hotel from Westlake light rail station, direct from airport. And, only a few minutes to Pike Markets, but because it is so central, you can walk north to Space Needle and south to Underground Tours. If I visit Seattle again I would have no hesitation staying here again. I would also request the same room (1117); it was right next to the elevator.
Worst greeting I have ever received at a hotel. Actually there was no greeting from the reception when I arrived. I felt like I had turned up at a friends house unannounced and asked if I could stay the night, and they reluctantly said yes, only because we were friends. All I was asked was name…got a credit card.

Beautiful building which felt like going back in time . Right next to the light railway line and such an easy commute to and from the airport .
Only one lift was working throughout our visit and it was a long wait . Walking down the back stairs was fine but it’s a long way to walk back up and impossible with luggage .
Not much around the area of the hotel in the evenings once Pike Market closes .

This property is absolutely beautiful, the craftsmanship is breathtaking. It is so warm and comfortable we felt at home. Our room was above expectations and we slept very well on the comfy beds. We also were able to visit some past permanent guests that seem to wander the 11th floor, if you believe in ghosts. Overall terrific hotel as me staff.

Valet staff were excellent. All staff were good, but valet stood out. They were courteous, helpful, and quick.
One of two elevators were out of service.

Excellent Location, Historical.
Given a historical/old hotel - walls were a bit thin and could hear quite a bit of outside noise.

Loved the location and the decor of the hotel. The restaurant was underwhelming with lunch meat on the charcuterie board and not a lot of options. Loved the bed and the room was quiet. Most staff were very helpful and kind. Appreciated the shuttle to the cruise ship as well
The restaurant was very overpriced, and only one person working the front desk was in a bad mood. Everything else was lovely

The property is elegant and the decor luxurious. The lobbies were cozy and comfortable for waiting until time to board the cruise ship on the front end of our trip and waiting for time to go to the airport at the end of our trip. We loved the location too. Right next to the monorail Station to whisk us to the former Fairgrounds for the 1962 world fair.

Location, customer service is simply outstanding, is a landmark and guest need to understand is not a cookie cutter otherwise enjoyed my stay
A renovation would be nice

The hotel has some old "chique" to it. The location is great, near major tourist spots like the market and the Space Needle. Rooms as nice and have all needed amities.
The rooms could be a bit bigger and when I went to breakfast something was going on in the kitchen as I had to wait 45 minutes to get simple scrambled eggs.

Good central location. 5 mins to Pike Place and monorail. Nice area and within walking distance of good restaurants.
We stayed twice. First room on 5th floor was OK but room on 2nd floor was better and more what I had expected.

Hardly any staff to speak of. No one to help us drag our two suitcases up the 12 steps or so at the entrance on arrival or upon departure.

Good value hotel in an excellent location. 10 mins walk to Pike Place Market. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. We also liked the bar, good value food with friendly staff.
The rooms were a little dark and dated, though clean and comfortable. There was little information given on check in. It would have been useful to be told : when and where breakfast was served (restaurant next door), that there was a door linking the hotel to the mall and monorail (upstairs in lobby), and that there is a shuttle provided to the cruise port for most cruise departures, this needs to be booked with concierge ($15 per person).

Lovely traditional hotel, comfortable beds, nice to have a bathtub. Needed more electrical outlets.
7.0 / 10.0
The location of the property was excellent. The monorail to connect to the space needle was just next door. The main shops are all within the neighbourhood. The staff were all helpful and friendly.
The property has seen better days and is quite dated. The hotel probably could do with some money spending on it and having a refurbishment. The bar area seemed strange and didn’t really know what it wanted to be ie: a restaurant or a hotel bar.
