Good hotel for an overnight

The room is huge and looks renovated, beds are very confortable, bathroom practical, the room could use some decoration to make it less impersonal, breakfast is ok

I did not understand why we were put in a room in the back side where there was outside renovating job going on... impossible to view outside as there was plastic sheet on the windows... the hotel was really not full.

Clerk at front counter had me pay the discounted price to her.

Well maintained

Clerk had me pay the savings that I was given through Booking.com. So I ended paying full price for a room by the elevator and strip where people were walking by talking and joking. I would hoped for a better room since I ended up paying full price.

There was a dog in another room howling from 8-9:00 and started again at 7am. I called the front desk and the person was rude. She told me they were a long term resident. I felt that my discomfort did not matter.

Paper-thin walls resulted in a sleepless night

We stayed at this hotel as a stopover on a long drive from Yellowstone to Colorado Springs. Having requested rooms next to our friends, they were transferred from their original room to one a few doors away when we all booked in. Breakfast was good, with a variety of hot and cold food, and a very hard working member of staff making sure everything was kept well stocked.

We saw the hotel from quite a distance away, but the entrance to the car-park was not very clear - in fact we initially drove into the car-park of another hotel. It could do with better signage. Unfortunately our neighbour in the adjoining room had to be asked to turn his TV down as it was very loud, and we were then disturbed throughout the night whenever he visited the bathroom, and then when his alarm went off at 5.30am, followed by hearing ALL of his morning ablutions - not his fault, but due to the paper thin door/walls. Having informed reception we were told it would be reported. We also left a similar negative review on the Hampton Inns (part of the Hilton Group!!) website, but so far haven't heard back from them at all. We wished we had paid less to stay at one of the other nearby hotels, as we paid more for a room where we had a dreadful night's rest

Front desk people were extremely personable, friendly, and helpful re answering questions about Craig. Housekeeping staff was very pleasant and thorough. Hot tub/whirlpool was a nice amenity. Breakfast was fine, could've had an additional fruit choice.

The Craig Hampton feels like a little bit of luxery.

The breakfast was excellent. Nice choices of hot and cold items. The hotel is comfortable, clean and quiet. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and pool.

The pool towels are thin and tiny, more like hand towels.

Won’t recommend this property and was happy to leave.

Clean, spacious rooms. Modern decor. Looked like a Hampton Inn on the outside.

The lobby was under construction, so the one staff member worked off a table with a few computers in front of a taped plastic curtain. It looked like a poor version of my home office. He was not in a uniform. Very unprofessional first appearance. He was a friendly and helpful man. The brand was not well represented however, and this construction project needed to be handled better for the guests’ benefit. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the one staff member had yo use a work around code for me. I was not told about every other day maid service. So when I returned to my room for the second night, nothing had been done. I only stayed two nights.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. Location was not great. Too far away from restaurants.

The hotel was in the process of a renovation and the lobby was difficult. Very noisy over night. Not sure where that was coming from, but it sounded like it was above our room.

Best room for the value

We had a king suite for an exceptional price. Nicest room we’ve had in 3 weeks on the road. Wow! Is the best way to describe it.

Breakfast needs more selections, more variety and breakfast juices. None were available. The breakfast quality should be on par with the rooms and our room was exceptional, but the breakfast was far from that. Barely adequate for me, but I really enjoy a place that has a good hot breakfast with variety and juice.

Being deliberately overcharged overshadowed what was otherwise a pleasant stay.

I didn’t like not being given a receipt then being overcharged then when I spotted it, being told, they would never sell that rate, being told they would adjust it, then finding they didn’t. Beware there is one fellow at the desk who seems to count on people not checking their bills or their credit card receipts against their confirmed booking. Booking.com were great in getting this sorted out.
