A True Gem

I have so many wonderful things to say about this property. The breakfast is homemade, plentiful and delicious. My cottage was extremely comfortable, especially on a rainy day. The receptionist had wonderful recommendations. A great stay!

The internet was weak, but that was likely due to the storms. It turned out to be a nice break to forget about work and be in nature.

The Cottages on River road were very friendly and extremely well maintained, LOVED our time there.

The location and the set up of the cottages were great. Loved how friendly and accommodating the staff was, just a very nice place to relax.

I'm sorry to say that the one thing I didn't like was that bed mattress in Cabin #5 needs to be replaced not very comfortable.

We didn't spend much time in the cottage, but can see where it would be ideal for summer stay.

Breakfast was good continental breakfast. Room was comfortable. Appreciated minifridge in room, and two bedrooms. Staff was very accommodating. Was happy to find the limited off-street parking.

Great area. Went for a wedding in the state park and now plan on going back with the family

I loved that the whole property was gated and the cottage had a keyless entry. I felt safe and didn't have to worry about carrying a key/card.

The cottages are a bit small, but definitely upgraded.

Overall we had a wonderful stay!!

The little cabin was decorated really well, very cute! I had free breakfast both mornings that I was there and it was very good! My dog was very welcome there, they even had a "pet area" for the dogs to go to which was very cool.

The wall between my part of the cabin and my next door neighbor's was "weak" as in I could just about hear anything and everything they were saying. That is my only complaint.

A Great Place to Stay in Guerneville during the Fall

We liked staying in our own private little cottage where we could make some of our meals. We liked the central location for daily trips around Sonoma County and the Sonoma Coast. We like meeting other guests while making smores by the evening fire. We like that they let us store our bikes on-site. We enjoyed the tasty breakfasts. We appreciate the kind and friendly staff. Nothing better than fall in Guerneville and the surrounding communities.

As the name suggests, the cottages are on River Road, which means there is a small bit of road noise when during higher traffic moments.

Welcoming and loving attention to details that make this an exceptional place to stay.

It's the little things that mean a lot. The cat has their own house. The floral-mossy pathway to the dog area. Sharpies availalbe in the dog park for writing your dog's name. All the s'mores fixings are ready and available for the visitors. The fire pit drew in the visitors and we all sat around and got to know a little bit about each other. I got to make a s'more for a woman from Iran who had never tasted them. The breakfast was lovely as well.

Nothing! It was a wonderful experience and I will return in the future. :)

The service from the staff was exceptional , Would definitely appreciate the courtesy/warmthness showed by Deanne and Catherine at the front desk. The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked, better than most standard hotels. The rooms were neat . We did get to enjoy the evening fire pit and smores which was an awesome experience for the kids.It also helped connect with fellow travellers. Loved everything about this place

The road noise was unfortunately a disturbance to everyone’s sleep. There was no walkable river access, despite being located so near to the river.

Lovely Hidden Gem.

Kathy was super helpful arranging for our late night check in. The instructions were perfect and we had no trouble getting into our room. The property is gorgeous down to the charming little details. The breakfast was lovely, sitting on our private patio. We felt very welcome especially by the resident cat, Smore. My daughter was in heaven. We loved that it’s a pet friendly property. We will bring our pups next time.

The bed could have been a little softer for my liking.

Everything. Places kept immaculate, the rooms are nicely sized, all of the amenities like the soap, and the towels and the bathroom curtains and the air conditioning and everything are just perfect, the morning breakfast between 8:30 and 10 has me longing for their black ham breakfast sandwiches months after I've left the place, and the staff particularly Deanne, are just a joy to be around and treat you like visiting family every time you show up. This is my number one spot on the river, although I really shouldn't be telling anyone because I don't want anybody taking the room I want next time. Lol. For my money this is the best value on the river

Staff was wonderfully helpful and kind, breakfast was fantastic, everything was gorgeously kept up, bathroom products were very nice, cottage was nicely furnished.

Only one thing was an issue - the internet wasn't great in the cabins furthest from the main building, but I was able to sit in the dining area to attend my virtual business meeting comfortably with no issues at all. The manager was extremely helpful.

Cottages on the River - worth the stay!

Adorable hotel just a mile or so outside of Guerneville. We had a 2 bedroom that had a queen bed in one room and 2 twin beds in the other. Nice size living room and bathroom. Also had a little deck that looked out over the lawn court yard. We were able to bring our dog and they had a cute little pet area. The hotel had a decent pool. We didn't use it as we wanted to go to the river. They had a nice breakfast with a variety of items including hot egg and cheese sandwiches. We went to dinner across the street at the brewery that was very good and easy access. There was plenty of parking and the whole hotel is very secure with key entry to get into the property.

Just note: this is not on the river nor does it have access to the river. This was a little disappointing as we had to go past town to find a spot to get to the river.

Clean room and pet-friendly - great bonuses like a fire pit with smores and a pool. Short walk across the street to eat/drink.

One of the gates is very squeaky, and the keypad to get into the room sometimes didn't work well.

Very disappointed. The room was super small. They pretended to be dog friendly but actually not.

The hotel was next to a busy road. You have to do street parking and carry your luggage while vehicles drive fast passing you.
