This was formally a luxury hotel. It seems to have fallen. Not horrible, it just got old. Unobtrusive construction is taking place while it is being restored. It is clean but dated. The owners seem to have adjusted the price to make it a very good value while construction is going on. Including a nice little buffet breakfast, it is now a great value. Indoor pool and a sizable workout room are bonuses.

I got a great inexpensive rate for a room here, and jumped on it as I'd stayed here previously. They are definitely going through transition growing pains as they closed their restaurant and bar, didn't have any housekeeping on the Saturday/Sunday I stayed, and the pool stayed dirty with towels everywhere throughout the weekend. Also before checking out I had no hot water in my room, which didn't include a microwave/fridge, and while it had a desk, there was no desk chair.. Definitely not what I expect from the top of the brand.

Chose this hotel for the hot tub and guess what? CLOSED!! Of course. The entire property is in need of upgrading. Lights don't work, ice machine doesn't work. They have a bar but don't open it. Why? Breakfast was cheap and sad. Dust covers everything. They have started a remodel on the top 2 floors, but until those rooms are ready to rent, my advice is to stay elsewhere
