Excellent

Every single staff member we encountered were extremely kind, polite and helpful. They never once treated us like we were an inconvenience to their day. They were all genuinely happy to be there and to assist.

The lighting in our room could have been better and we could hear the people in the next room walking around in their high heels. Aside from that it was great. Within walking distance to the many shops and restaurants on Miracle Mile.

A great stay close to Michigan Avenue with a lovely breakfast!

The Fairfield was a great stay. The room was clean and nice. The breakfast was lovely with a large variety of choices. I especially liked that it was available from 6-10. Good for early birds and later risers. Helpful, friendly service and you could have your luggage held til later in the day. The location was also very good. Only about a block and a half off Michigan Avenue. Thanks for a great stay!

A microwave would have been very nice, but not crucial. There was a small fridge.

I loved how my room was cornered off and I didn’t get any noise disturbances, and the tv had so many streaming options other than old cable so that was great as well!

How I was almost charged twice the total price of my stay no matter how many times I tried to explain in a calm matter that I had already pre-payed my stay a week before it was time to actually check in.

The free breakfast delicious, and very fresh and very clean. the staff is really nice, but the building is going through a remodel and I was not informed by the third-party it was a miscommunication, between the hotel and the third-party but everything else was OK

Great for a day or two

The room was very clean. The style of the room was very nice with a view to the street. The breakfast was good too. I'm not going to complain about it because it had everything you needed to charge batteries to explore the city.

The bed wasn't good enough. It was big but the mattres was very hard. The other thing that wasn't very comfy, was the fact that the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom. It wasn't very comfortable, but it is just a detail that didn't make our stay uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect—super central and close to everything, which made it easy for us to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The staff were absolutely fabulous—friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help.

The beds were decent in terms of comfort—not the most luxurious, but definitely good enough for the price. Honestly, you can’t beat the value compared to other hotels in the area.

The room was small but nice we did valet and there was a guy name SAL he was nice the type of customer service he provided was superior! Also the greeter was kind and the front desk staff was all on point not to mention they also had free breakfast!!!

Nice location but not value for money

Nice location. A very kind and helpful man at the entrance helping with directions and luggage.

The lady at the reception was super rude. The facilities were quite old especially the bathroom. Super poor breakfast. This hotel is like it’s stuck in time.

Nice place in Chicago Downtown

Nice location and absolutely friendly staff. Gentleman, who took my luggage to lock room is a big supporter of Ukraine! Thanks for his kind words of support. Besides that - comfortable facility and quite good breakfast included (that is rare in this district of Chicago as I learnt).

View from my room on 3rd floor was a view against wall of next building :) plus surprisingly hotel does not provide you any compliment bottles of water.

Great Location - The Rest Needs Work!

The location is fantastic and your front desk and cleaning staff are amazing! I could not provide higher marks. They literally shone through and were always super friendly, helpful, courteous and eager to please. Amazing!

The room (#1310) had a few issues. It was advertised as a 1 bedroom suite but it did not have a door or even a curtain separating the bedroom and the living room area. I thought this was rather cheeky to advertise as a "suite" but have 1 open room. Also, the bathroom door would not close as it is too big for the doorframe. (I am not joking!) Thus, it was not possible to use the bathroom without someone else being able to walk in. Also in the bathroom there was no fan so it steamed up completely when you took a shower causing the entire room to get humind. Lastly, the breakfast and the staff working the breakfast area were NOT good. The eggs were dry, the sausage VERY fatty, and the fruit was going bad. The waffles were fine and the oatmeal was good but the hot food requires a lot of work. I have stay at your brand often and this was the worst breakfast I have had yet at a Fairfield Suites. Also, unlike their front desk colleagues, the kitchen staff were not helpful, shrugged their shoulders when we asked for more coffee, kept opening the doors quickly often hitting people carrying food without apologizing or even looking at them and slamming the door shut at 10 AM as if to say its over. GET OUT! Breakfast was a terrible experience.

Great location for an average hotel

The hotel is in a great, prime location, but the building is rather old, and the breakfast is just average. The room is spacious enough, but the bathroom is quite small. I would have preferred a more spacious bathroom. Additionally, there is no wardrobe or locker in the room.
