JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes

We arrived quite early on Saturday and were pleasantly shocked to be able to check in at 10am without prior request. Rooms was spacious and clean with updated amenities. Pool.was huge with amazing lazy River and restaurants were fabulous. 10/10

Staff were wonderful

The room was wonderful - exceptional size and amenities in the room. The toiletries provided were of exceptional quality and loved having a pack of bath salts to use in the tub. Enjoyed having the ability to go out on the small Juliet balcony which was in the room as well. The food throughout the places we dined at the resort was great. Knife Burger's burger was fantastic and came out perfectly cooked. The French fries were probably some of the best poolside bar fries I've ever had. They were extra crispy yet softer on the inside - great! The Cuban sandwich was also incredibly delicious - highly recommend. They had a watermelon salad which I saw another guest order which looked unbelievable as well, so if I stay at this property again and it is still on the menu I'm definitely going to try that! El Citron had a pretty decent buffet breakfast which we had Sunday morning. Freshly made omelets and Belgian waffles - tons of fresh fruit, meats, and cheeses. I don't typically eat avocado toast but theirs was exceptional. Coffee was a little on the extra-strong side, so beware of that and add cream and sugar as needed.

The pool area had a massive amount of very unruly children in the lazy river area. They were climbing the rocks and jumping into the pool on/around people who were floating by, splashing onto them and kicking them as they swam under and through peoples' legs after jumping off the rock which, by the way - have many signs clearly posted to not do. We notified pool attendants of the children jumping off the rocks and the bridges crossing over the lazy river areas. The pool attendants didn't take heed to any of the complaints we were giving them about the children jumping into the lazy river. Not only is is a massive nuisance to people trying to just enjoy their time there, but it's a massive liability for the resort should one of them be hurt. I would definitely hope that, if I stay at another Marriott property with pool amenities like these, that the attendants would listen to the complaints of their guests reference unruly children doing things which are a liability and just overall making the stay for other people unenjoyable. When I checked into our room, we had previously checked our luggage at bell services so that we could spend the day at the pool while waiting for our room to be ready. When I spoke with the front desk agent to check me in, she didn't really seem interested in me or welcoming me to the resort. I asked her about the luggage and tried to give her the luggage tag from bell services to have our luggage brought to the room, she told me that I couldn't do that and would need to physically go to the room, call bell services, and be in the room waiting for the luggage to be delivered. Meanwhile, the friends we were staying with checked into their room with another front desk agent and had zero issues with handing their luggage tag off to them and having it delivered to their room while we were at the pool.
