Breakfast, beds, cleanliness, quiet, food.
The carpet had just been steam vacuumed. The floor was still wet (got my socks wet)and smelled very very strong soap smell. It smelled clean, but strong.

The bed was comfy, the room clean, the staff excellent and the added bonus of a fab tiki bar and a really good pool and sun area.Plus a coin operated laundry.
Booked a room with a balcony. The hotel does not have the rooms with balconies that Booking.com advertises.In fact the windows don’t even open.
The staff were excellent though in trying to resolve the issue. Booking.com not so much.

Breakfast was great, room was clean, and staff for the most part were great,
Check in was annoying as the guy checking us in thought NYC jokes were funny (after a long day of travel, very much not), and he was awfully slow and did not explain what he was doing with my credit card which he kept swiping through his machine. Not great. Nor was the fact I got stuck in one of the two working elevators and reported it but saw no action to repair what was wrong. The fact there is only one working elevator is not good. Nor was the fact the Tiki bar, which was supposed to be open, was not. I know it was colder than usual, but make plans for that as you have guests who want to use it and if it's supposed to be open, then find a way.

Large rooms - fairly central, good parking and free.
Mainly a business hotel. N0 BAR open on Christmas Day! No carols around the pool - zilch. Lack of hot chocolate and English breakfast tea at breakfast (not all Brits drink earl grey), repetitive breakfast with paper plates and plastic knives and forks!
