You charge money for parking, coffee, and water. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that does that. It’s bad for customer retention - just wrap it into the price of the room so it doesn’t feel so cheap.

Besides the slides and fan it was a good stay

Property was really nice I had a king traditional room. Very clean and nice. The bed was somewhat comfortable to hard for me. What I liked most about the hotel was the view of the ocean! The walk way down to the beach was fun such a beautiful view! Staff was very repectful and nice. Nice walk to restaurant me and my husband walked to a restaurant.

Our ceiling fan was loud and wobbly and had lots of spider webs I actually had 3 spiders in our bed took videos. In total we killed about 5 spiders.

Delightful Pismo hotel for Pelican and Whale watching.

Lovely hotel with views over the sea and a fabulous clifftop promenade towards the beach, with firepits for relaxing while sunset viewing( an absolute must and one of our holiday highlights) Lovely large room with a fireplace, (nice cosy touch), nice decor, great bed and good shower.Friendly and helpful staff. Coffee shop next to reception where affordable breakfast items could be purchased. Small pool and spa bath with sunloungers. Thankyou to the lovely maintenance man who went and got me a towel when I forgot to bring mine to the pool.

If I stayed again I would request a front line room with sea views.We were given a room at the back of the property near the road( which we couldn't hear when windows closed) but it meant we only had a view of close hedge /wall and it made the room a bit dark. No problem for a couple of nights but would bother me for longer stay. We did ask if anything else available on arrival but not so unfortunately.

The location was excellent, close to downtown and very close to the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable, with two king sized beds. There was a partial view of the ocean as well,

I would have preferred at least a light breakfast to be included. There is a cafe on site, however it requires all items to be purchased. There is also a charge for parking in an open parking lot. It seems like the parking should be included in the room rate.

Highly recommend your hotel! It was much nicer than we thought and enjoyed it greatly.

We loved our room with the fireplace! It was clean, roomy, and charming. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was great, especially the male employee at the front office. He was so accommodating and did his best to try and meet our needs, and it was done with the best attitude.

Would be great to have more of a full breakfast available. Also, it was a bit disappointing the pool area was so small you couldn't lay out there. I had envisioned being poolside relaxing and soaking up some sun.

My Place in Pismo

We just stayed at Cottage Inn by the Sea in Pismo for the second time, and it was just as amazing as we remembered. The hotel is peaceful, super clean, and the rooms are spacious. Trish, the manager, is phenomenal—so kind and accommodating. The staff is friendly, especially Tyler at the front desk. We loved the early check-in/late check-out option, which is great for families. The bistro is gorgeous—elegant with a cozy fireplace. The location is perfect, with breathtaking ocean views. Beach access requires a short walk, but it’s totally worth it. This is officially our go-to hotel in Pismo!

It was bit noisy at times with folks enjoying the fire pit right outside our room. Not a huge deal as they didn't stay late.

Charge for parking seemed excessive, given the price of the room. Also, you have to request housekeeping services. We requested after 2 nights, and they did not show up to clean our room. Front desk tool care of it when we let them know.

There is nothing unique about this property comparaed to others in the whole stretch of hotels on that road.

The best part of this property and all others which are in the same row is view of the sea from top and you need to get down steps to reach the beach. This common steps for all the hotels on this stretch. Pet friendly.

The pet friendly rooms are closer the road which is high traffic road so you can hear the traffic all throughout the night. I would classify this as a Motel and nothing more. I wish there was a restaurant that served proper breakfast. There is one Starbucks outlet inside the motel but is limited to 2-3 hrs and limited stuff. The property is old from look and feel and even bathroom felt a bit old but neat and clean. It’s good if the price was cheaper but for the price I would prefer a best western or higher
