I stayed at Americas Best Value Inn Royal Carriage for one night with three friends, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was dirty, with a broken mattress and a mini-fridge that made loud noises throughout the night. The entire place felt outdated and had an unpleasant odor. To make matters worse, the guests in the adjacent room were extremely noisy, keeping us awake until 3 AM despite our attempts to address the issue. While the staff were kind and tried to be helpful, the overall atmosphere was unprofessional. We noticed a messy and dirty kitchen area behind the reception, which was concerning. The lack of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the property was unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a deeply disappointing experience that I hope others can avoid.

Location was convenient to Yosemite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Building was old and interesting history.

They leave on a hall light at night, which shines into the room through a stained glass window, leaving it quite bright in the room. The walls are PAPER THIN and they put people right next to each other unnecessarily. Neighbors woke me up late at night until I banged on the wall and they quieted down. Shower dripped constantly, in spite of my efforts.

I’m still waiting for my 100$ deposit to credi back to my account it shows that I paid 96$ for the room for 1 nite and it also shows I made another 100$ payment the same day can I fix this and credit my debit card for me thank u

It was a bit cold on the room I thought it would be like a hotel it was more like a hostel with common rooms and shared showers I managed thank you

The place is very old. It is just one small portion of an old build. The room is very small and duty. The room is very hot and the AC does not work. The shower is also very cheap and it even does not have place to put shampoo and soap. The water will spill out all over the place. We booked for two days, they checked us out for the second night without confirming with us after we complained about the facility. When we went back to the hotel on the second night, they already sold the room to the other people. We need to find another place one hours away to stay for the 2nd night of 7/2. They said they already refunded us for the money for the second night. However, we did not see any refund back to my credit card.

The reception lady was very welcoming and gave us a fee good suggestions about the area. The property is located an hour away from Yosemite and has good restaurants and fun things to do around. There is plenty of open space to hang around and also to barbecue.

The property is rather old and needs some renovation. The shower head did not work and was hanging loose. The ac unit stopped working on one evening after we returned. We had booked a cottage room, which as per the pictures has a kitchenette. Our room did not have that.

I liked the two cabins with the adjoining door for my extended family members. The beds were great, and the whole place was very clean, although run-down. The location was great, and the staff was always available. The bathrooms were small but very clean and serviceable, and the TV service and WIFI was great. The cabin's kitchen had a full-size refrigerator, cook surface, sink, and microwave, although you'd need to provide your own cooking supplies. We had a pre-schooler in the family group, and the adjoining cabins had good space to spread out.

The adjoining door scraped loudly on the floor. We needed at least two more chairs at the kitchen table. In the room with 3 beds, one bed's frame was rickety and had two support slats on the floor. Also in that room, the bathroom's top door hinge had broken away from the wall. The service lights outside were too bright, and we would have appreciated black-out curtains. I think the parking area should be improved, cleaned up, and a turn-around area created.

Lousy property. Doesn’t meet any cleanliness standards. Every piece of furniture is run down. The bath and kitchen are in a terrible state. I’m dreading ever staying at such a place.

The smell in the hallway The guys in the other room beside me I think lives there…. Played video games and talked all night. Super thin walls Night table broke. Fan filled with dust. If it was 20$ a night sure no problem but 80$/night it’s ridiculous.

Bed was exceptionally comfortable.

Shower was dirty, hair and boogers. Sink was dirty. No balcony or patio, which was in ad. Window didn't close or lock, but up against another building, bugs. I got very sick and had to leave early... no care or concern or offer to compromise on prepaid amount. Staff was in pajamas with no undergarments, and using curse words.

Good places to eat within short walking distance. Room is comfortable, even when it's 100 degrees outside. AC controller is a ceiling fan.

Very weak wifi. Only one wall outlet but there are surge protectors under dresser and behind fridge. No parking area for guests. Either park on street or in lot across street.

Breakfast" was in a locked room that had been used the night before for a large family party (over 20 adults and children). It was left as it was with the previous nights foods still out in trays and on plates--yucky. No breakfast--we left @ 0730 . Don't even think they offered breakfast and wouldn't have tried it if they did. The afternoon and evening before children ran up and down the hallways yelling; the room across the hall from us had some of the family members from the birthday party below wandering in and out and hollering up and down the hall. Our initial room we first couldn't even get into the door, after going back downstairs we had our keys rekeyed and found the room had been used but not cleaned--stains on the bed and the pillow and linens rumpled--the woman at the front apologized and insisted she'd made a mistake. OK . Our second room was only marginally better. The floor (carpet) was filthy--dusty and dirty-- I wouldn't go bare foot. I wouldn't use the shower. Our towels and washcloths were folded and arranged as if it was a 4 star hotel, but the washcloths were threadbare and DISGUSTING. Stains on both the washcloths, ripped and fraying hems, obviously makeup and mascara on one, and what looked like blood on the other. I took pictures of the nasty sink and the nastier washcloths--the place was really not fit for anyone to stay in. Can't believe Booking.com would even include this property.
