I have nothing but good things to say about Holiday Inn express, but this particular experience bad

location, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Very musty smell in the room. took the elevator up to the room and it was full of marijuana smoke. No exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Reservation mixup

Location

They couldn't find our reservation. After I showed the conf # , they found the reservation for the following day. I specifically needed the reservation for the 18th, not the 19th. My text and my copy both confirmed the room for the 18th.

Exhausting drive home from lack of sleep.

The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on. The headboard made an awful noise every time we turned over or moved. I should have crawled into the pull out where my son was sleeping. It probably would have been more comfortable with its 1 inch mattress than the King size bed. It was absolutely miserable. Although it was in a great location to get where we needed to be quickly. Where it’s located made pulling into the property and especially out of the property very difficult since it’s in a very high traffic area. The outside of the building looks run down and we questioned if we should actually stay there when we arrived. We were very pleased when we walked inside and found a much nicer hotel than what we thought from street level. The breakfast was horrible and so we walked next door and ate at Dennys.

The parking lot was full, so there had to be a bunch of rooms booked, but it was ridiculously quiet. No issues with noise. Staff was super nice. Room couldn’t have been cleaner. Would absolutely stay there anytime I’m in town.

Our rooms were large. The pancakes were delicious and the breakfast was OK. The lobby and dining areas were clean and comfortable.

The rooms in this property need to be updated and spruced up. Our rooms looked shabby. The lobby was very nice and clean and up to date. The pancakes were fun…automated and tasted good. The breakfast was OK. Because of the construction and all the traffic, the location was challenging. It was quite difficult to get onto the main road at any time of day….even in the early, early morning. Bentonville seems to have grown at a rapid rate and it doesn’t seem as if the infrastructure has caught up with this expansion. When it is completed, I would imagine it will settle down some.

I would stay here again, everything was clean and smelled fresh, close to lots of food choices.

I liked that every time I stepped off the elevator on my floor, the air was fresh and clean, not stale. The hotel was quiet, not a lot of noise, even though there were lots of folks staying there. The shower was excellent, hot water, quickly. The beds were very comfortable, not too soft, but plush, I slept really well. Good location, there were lots of food choices that I could walk to.

I will not be back

I like that they let us check in early for my elderly mother to rest before us having to go out in the 100 degree weather.

I had 2 drunk men trying to get in my room at 1220 am. I called to the desk 9 times on my cell and 2 times with the phone in the room. No one answered. I finally had to call 911 for them to handle it. I was extremely scared of the men and couldn’t get back to sleep until 4am. The man at the desk finally answered my call when the police came in the building.
