At the end of the nineteenth century, Casa Daniela was a simple country house. Today, lovingly restored, it is a place in which one can relax and take it easy. The original floors, the large fireplace, the bright open kitchen and the lovely bathroom help to make this retreat a true jewel.

Very attractive well-equipped apartment, situated in a very quiet hamlet with beautiful nearby walks. We had difficulty lighting the hob when we arrived and needed assistance from a neighbour. Unfortunately the toilet flush was also not working properly during our stay and we needed to use a bucket to flush. Despite this, we really enjoyed our few days here. It would be helpful to have some printed information provided for guests to explain how to light the hob, who to ask for help, and local maps showing footpaths etc so visitors can make the most of their stay.

The property is in a tiny Tuscan hamlet. Scenery pretty with olive trees, vineyard and trees rather than the softer green rolling landscapes. It’s more isolated but if you don’t mind driving about a half hour to other aights and a possible route of a mile or so on an unpaved road, and are content with a pretty view through old wood shuttered windows and very charming country decor, this is a good choice.
Toilet doesn’t flush well but we didn’t mind filling pots of water from the sink. Kitchen utensils well stocked.gas stove a bit quirky to light. No microwave or electric toaster but fridge was good. We enjoyed the country feel. It’s very atmospheric and spotlessly clean.
Bring your own coffee, food etc. Grocery in village about 2 K away.

Es ist ein Kleinod, eine Entdeckung, wenn man die schwere Holztür öffnet, hinter der eine steile Steintreppe in eine große, Deckenhohe, wundervolle, sehr stilvolle, italienische Wohnung führt. Steinfußboden mit rotem Muster, toskanischen Kacheln im Bad, und wenn man dann die grünen Fensterläden öffnet, blickt man von jedem Zimmer weit weit über das toskanische Land. Grillen zirpen. Der Ort besteht aus ca. drei weitern Steinhäusern. Stille. Abgeschiedenheit. Blutroter Sonnenuntergang. Im Fenster sitzen, Rotwein trinken, SEIN. Einfach Erholung pur. Romantik pur. Nach Siena einen Tagesausflug planen, einmal vielleicht an den Strand fahren, schlafen, lesen, Spaziergänge ins nächste Dorf zum Supermarkt oder in den Wald,eine kleine Wanderung.

Schönes Haus, gut eingerichtet und liegt in einem ruhigen Weiler südlich von Siena. Die Grösse ist ideal für 2 Personen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Besuche in Siena, San Gimigliano und die Weingebiete Chianti und Brunello.
