Definitely not worth $400!!

I initially booked this room for the indoor pool and Bar&Grill.

Upon check in, I was not informed that the bar&grill was closed and the pool was also closed. I bragged about how excited we were to have both amenities! After check in was complete, I asked what time the Bar&Grill closed and was told they are closed.. I then asked what about the pool, to which they replied “it’s closed too”!! What?!? After I just had an entire discussion about how excited we were to have those amenities! Why would they wait until after check in was complete to tell me these things! So frustrating! So we get to our room and there was an awful smell. There was nothing spectacular about the room AT ALL! It was damp and smelled like mildew. My children we devistated and did not want to leave and drive 3 hrs home, so we stayed. I could nitpick the room and bathroom but I think I’ve said enough.

Clean, comfortable and affordable

Check in was smooth and easy. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good as well.

There's a restaurant on site that was unfortunately closed. There was no indication of this on Booking.com, so this was disappointing. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the onsite restaurant.

Stay here - You'll be glad you did.

When we arrived, the front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming. He modified the room to meet my needs and seemed glad to do so. The room itself was spacious, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, and we slept really well here - no noise at all! For the money, this was an absolutely terrific stay!

Maybe a light breakfast, but that's not a big deal at all. They had coffee in the room and the lobby. No complaints.

Convenient for shuttle service to the airport.

I didn't use the breakfast option as I needed to get to the airport, The room was clean and modern. Bed was comfortable.

The walls are thin and I could hear the people on the same floor very clearly. I could even hear someone in the next room snoring in the middle of the night which awakened me. I didn't want to oversleep since I had to catch a flight, so I didn't use earplugs. Babies were crying, children screaming and playing late into the night. Again, I think it is the structure of the hotel, not necessarily the people who checked in.

Comfortable, Convenient and Clean

The room is very clean, and the beds are comfortable. The room is equipped with microwave, refrigerator, and TV. The spacious layout provided us ample room for all the luggage (we have to many as we are staying in US for 5 weeks). The breakfast is ok. So many variations. We only stayed 1 night so we can't say if they vary each day. Nevertheless, we commend the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff when we had our breakfast. The surrounding area is like a semi-industrial area, which means limited walking options to nearby places. However, the environment is very quiet. There are plenty of dining options nearby as well.

We experienced nothing we didn't like during our stay.

The decor, the smell(stale),when looking for a place to stay one reason I chose this one was because it said it came with free breakfast, but when I checked in the lady said we did not get the breakfast.when booking the room I did not see any other options 😡 the wall where the air-condition is needed repaired.

Long walk from parking lot lol I’m a handicap elderly lady and forgot my lanyard! I asked for room close to desk for safety. Was put on 4th floor far end away from elevator but I’m sure it was what was available snd no fault of the facility staff.

Really good hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was big and had everything I needed. The breakfast was excellent with a varied and good quality choice. I used the free shuttle to the nearby airport. Overall this was an enjoyable experience at the Holiday Inn Louisville Airport.

Nice hotel, just don't plan on being wowed by the front desk hospitality

As a property, the hotel was nice. It had an indoor pool and gym. It was kept clean and presentable. It also offered a breakfast and fully stocked pantry.

If you are looking for a stellar front desk hospitality, you will be disappointed. I felt like I was burdening the front desk staff 80% of the time that I interacted with them. I normally ignore this but when your teenager points it out, you know something isn't right :) I know we all have bad days and I certainly am not looking for you to dance or shoot off fireworks when I walk in the door, but I did not feel a warm and fuzzy feeling when I came to the lobby in this hotel. I'm just giving a heads up to those who do harp on this aspect of their guest experience. Everything else is nice at the hotel.

Occupied Room

Stay was good. One major problem, they originally gave us a room which someone was staying in, causing a very embracing moment when I walked in the room and distrubed a gentleman getting out of shower. According to management house cleaning never informdd front desk the guest did not check out.
