No breakfast available. There was a dog in the room across from ours that barked quite a bit. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good. Kitchenette needed some repair.

The person at the desk was very helpful and professional.
The hotel is dated - older furniture and carpeting
8.0 / 10.0
Mostly everything besides the few things listed in the "didn't like" section.
The room itself felt a bit dated and could use "a new coat of paint" so to speak. The only other thing I wasn't crazy about was how the curtains covering the room's one window left enough space between each other to allow a beam of light to shine through which unfortunately shines right onto the bed where I was. The light on me made a complete night of rest a bit difficult for me considering I prefer total darkness in the room.

Did not eat breakfast; however there was breakfast. The staff were really kind. The environment was clean. The room was accommodating.
I hate roaches but unfortunately, there were many of them in my room. I did not cook, yet I saw about 4 of them. The place is really nice but I wish they could use some insecticide to eliminate those roaches.

Pool looked clean
I didn't realize that extended stay hotels didn't include room service, towel change or refresh of services like coffee.
Front desk took an extremely long time to check in.
Booked a two night stay and had to spend 15 min getting keys remade so that we could get back into our rooms at the end of the first day.

I enjoyed the staff very friendly. Overall the hotel was clean and well kept. The beds were very comfortable. Good location.
When we parked I noticed there was broken glass in the parking lot. Looked like someone's vehicle had been previously broken into. This was a little unsettling made me nervous for my car. Also was surprised it was still there and not cleaned up for other vehicles parking. Glad to report my car was safe when I woke up however.

Told the front desk that we had a feather allergy. They stated that they stopped using feathers a long time ago. Went back to the room, the tag clearly stated inside stuffing was waterfowl feathers. Brought them to front desk and they weren’t apologetic despite the fact that this was a serious allergy issue. Had to use our own pillows from the car.

It took well over a month to get the security deposit taken off the credit card. I had to make multiple phone calls to get this resolved.

as soon as you walked in, all you could smell was mildew

It was close to hwy and restaurants
Their was a horrible smell in the room. I had to keep spraying air fresheners. The bed really needs to be replaced. When I checked after telling all of this to the desk clerk she didn’t say ok I will get this addressed or anything. I didn’t ask to switch rooms because that had us on the 1st floor and I didn’t want that and he said not sure I we have any other rooms, but then he gave us the room on the second floor.

Clean. Smelled nice, freshly clean. It is terrible when you stay in a room that hasn’t been used in a while. Smells terrible.
Nothing to complain.

It is within walking distance of the hospital
There were roaches in my room and blood on the floor under the bathroom sink. The elevator and the room also smelled like a dog.

As for the location, South of the hotel off of hwy 45 did not look bad, but when we exited 45 we were in the hood and it was quite scary. We drove all over looking for some apple juice for my daughter to be able to take bed time medications. That was the one and only thing good about the hotel. They did sell apple juice. They did not have breakfast, only coffee, but as dirty as they were, I wouldn't have eaten there anyway. :(
This hotel was so bad that I slept in my car even though I paid to sleep in a hotel. The location was right next to MD Anderson's Cancer Center, therefore you would think the hotel would have been good, but it was not. The carpet was dirty, and smelled bad. The elevator sounded like it was going to brake, and it had carved graffiti on the walls and controls. The entire place was hot and stuffy. The ac never cooled the room down. Our room was a queen studio suite, however the bed was a twin size at best. I couldn't breath with the heat and the smells. There was no way in that heat two people could have slept on that bed. My daughter stayed in the room although she said it was hot all night and that she did not sleep well. I slept in my car the entire night. Very disappointed. I am unlikely to ever stay in a Candlewood Suites again or use booking.com, or stay in that location.(League City) As for the location, South of the hotel off of hwy 45 did not look bad, but when we exited 45 we were in the hood and it was quite scary. The property was clean and the staff behind the service desk, Diane, was very welcoming and truly provided my family with exceptional customer service.
The only thing I could think of is that there was only half & half for the coffee. No french vanilla or any flavored sweeter.

There was only coffee no complementary breakfast. I liked that it was close to the UTMB hospital where I had surgery on Friday.
I asked them to change my sheets and clean our room on the third day. Was told they only change sheets after 1 week. I had surgery and needed them to be clean. They never dumped our trash. Our sheets were swapped from 1 bed to the other with no cleaning done during our whole stay. We had to go to the front desk to get clean towels and toiletries. The pool was cold.

I had a bunch of public hair on my vanity but everything else was good. Especially the lady who worked Sunday morning. She is complete GeM!
