The Westin Cleveland Downtown

Location was perfect.

Food options were pricy. Parking g was very expensive, but, apparently, the norm for the location.

The renovations are very attractive and very functional in the rooms. Everything was immaculate and the housekeeping staff was surperb! Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. The waiter was friendly, efficient, and attentative!

The location of our room was next to the staff service room and close to the elevators. So that made the noise level a bit bothersome. That could be due in part to my booking the reservation with only five rooms that size still remaining. The front desk staff was not always attentive or the friendliest. The Lobby Greeter was great in the regard!

Our stay was very comfortable! The room was clean and nicely decorated. It was in a very good location and the restaurant was lively. Our meal was very good as well as the cocktails!

I didn't like the exorbitant price for parking. That could have been mentioned when I made the reservation. I did go through a third party to book; but I saw no mention that the cost would be so high. Also in my booking, it was mentioned that we would have a waterfront view, which we barely did (a sliver of a view between the buildings).

I really liked the location of the hotel, especially its close proximity to the arena. Being within walking distance made attending events very convenient and eliminated the need to drive or worry about parking. I also enjoyed the views from the hotel. Being able to see both the arena and the water added a nice touch to the stay, especially in the evening. The convenient location and beautiful views were definitely the highlights of my experience.

There were several issues that negatively impacted my stay. The hotel had system problems and was only able to activate one room key. The television did not work for the first hour after we arrived. More importantly, the hotel advertised a business center as an amenity, but there was no business center available. I had business that needed to be handled during my stay, and because this advertised amenity was unavailable, I had to postpone my work until after I left the hotel. The room also lacked a microwave, and the refrigerator was poorly positioned against the cabinet hinges, causing it to bang against them whenever it was opened. The charging options were also outdated, with no USB or USB-C ports available in the nightstands or other convenient fixtures. Overall, the room and amenities could use some updating, and advertised amenities should accurately reflect what is actually available to guests.
