No hot tub, breakfast was underwhelming, slow service or only one person working at a time so unable to get extra towels or sheets brought to room/pool area

Nice hotel with lots to do in the area!

The breakfast was great and the location is excellent! So much to do around it and easy to get to other places nearby.

The hot water got cold quickly so taking a colder shower wasn’t fun.

Disappointed.

My daughter and I stay here a few times a year to have a girls shopping and relaxing weekend. This year we brought my granddaughter too. It is in the perfect spot to make all of that convenient.

We had a sofa bed in the room, but no linens or pillows, when I called to get them they said they had no pillows. I had listed 3 adults on the room. Next door there was so much noise and running up and down the halls for hours. I called and complained, was told they would address and it went on for another 2 hours. They finally quieted down at about 2am.

The whole entire hotel was fantastic close to everything except for don’t expect a hot shower unless you want one at 1 in the morning

Room 1111 should not be an option due to its thin walls; the pool should not be as cold as outside

The staff was very nice and the room was clean and cozy

we were in room 1111, first room you walk past from the lobby. We were woken up multiple times from car doors slamming outside, people fumbling to the elevator and knocking on our door, I wish the staff helped escort this wedding party when they could tell they were being drunk and loud and rude. My daughter had a panic attack thinking that these loud men were going to bust into our room. Then we were woken up by the breakfast bar once it opened. This room should not be an option if it is going to have that thin of walls and its window is directly next to the shuttle busses. My toddler’s lips turned blue the pool was so cold, and it took them until 10 to open it up when it was supposed to open at 7.

Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Hotel room was very clean. Hot shower and lovely soap. Pool was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious. Pillows were comfortable.

Loved the cleanliness and friendliness. Only downfall was that shuttle transportation is advertised but they dont tell u how much they charge (alot) and also that it is not always available. If shuttle service is advertised as free then it should be. It should also always be available...especially nights of concerts at Pine Knob. I do recommend this hotel despite that. Great place!

It was a very clean facility and the pool was nice and warm. It was also very quiet and the blinds kept all of the light out so we were able to sleep in.

Breakfast was great, staff was so nice and helpful. We were in the area for a concert, the staff gave us a card for a driver if we were interested. We were asked if it was ok to be right outside the lobby, we said it was ok and honestly very little noise.

A great experience all around

A great, reasonably priced hotel in a good location to events surrounding Auburn Hills. Have used this Holiday Inn several times for concerts and sporting events because of its great location. Will be back again soon!

My family absolutely loved this hotel. We would book again in a second. The room was VERY spacious. The free coffee, tea, hot chocolate that was available at all hours in the lobby was amazing! The free breakfast was also above and beyond. A different review had biscuits & gravy, there wasn’t that though. There were hot pancakes, oatmeal, cinnamon rolls, muffins, toast and bagels. On the other wall was omelette, scrambled eggs, hash browns and as much bacon as you could eat. Finishing off the breakfast was cereals, yogurts, milks, and juices. The location was in walking distance to the mall, which was our primary destination. The pool was empty when we used it, it could have been warmer but was ok after adjusting to the cooler temp.

Nice hotel close to Great Lakes Outlet mall

Breakfast was basic but good enough to start the day. Hotel is right beside the Great Lakes Outlet mall, very convenient for those who want to get some shopping done. Plenty of restaurant options in the area for lunch or dinner. About an hours drive from DTW airport, close to the Interstate. I stayed in the King Suite, lots of space for a single traveler. Bed was comfortable for me. I was satisfied with the room cleanliness. Free parking onsite, enough spaces available. Check-in/out process was fast and straightforward. WiFi worked well in the room and in the common areas.

Breakfast choices could be improved. I stayed 5 nights and breakfast was the same for the length of my stay.

I like that it was close to everything I had planned for our weekend getaway as a family. And it was clean and that’s also something I can appreciate with young children.

If I could change anything I’d throw in a hot tub by the pool. Although the pool was at a very decent temperature.

Pros and Cons

The location was perfect. Staff was friendly.

Cost was higher than originally quoted. Pool was small and quite busy, but very limited chairs available and no towels 1 of the 2 times we used it. Room was mostly clean, but when picking up, underneath things was disgusting.

The desk seat in my room was full of hair, even the desk had hair on it.The hotel was booked guest we’re loud, I was right across from the side exit heard the door slam all night, guest walking back and forth.

Wonderful place to stay as a family right across from the outlet mall and activities

We loved the king suite with pull out bed. If you have kids this is the option to go with. The small sink and cabinets we had for snacks etc made it easy for quick lunches in the room before naps. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

We had a few ants in the room on day 2, however the staff came in right away and swept. No other issues.

Check in procedure was difficult due to booking through Book-it (third party). They couldn’t find my reservation due to my name being spelled wrong.

We were unable to stay at the property after we discovered a horrible smell in our room. Upon telling the front desk, we were told they would take care of it if we came back later. We came back in six hours and all they did was crack a window. The smell was so bad that the room was inhabitable for any family. We told the front desk once again and we were told they could offer us 10% of the room but there was nothing else we could do. I told the receptionist at the front desk we were leaving, and I watched her as she wrote down my name and phone number to leave to the manager, who’s name is Antonio Garcia. She informed us that Mr, Garcia would be reaching out to us the next day to discuss our refund, which he never did. When I called the property the following day, a man answered the phone and identified himself as Antonio Garcia. After I began summing up our situation, he transferred me back to the receptionist, who said that Mr. Garcia was not there and he would be reaching out to me the following day to discuss the refund. The next day, we still didn’t receive a call. I called the property again, and the same man answered the phone, who once again identified himself as Antonio Garcia. He at first claimed he had no record of our stay, then he claimed that we had checked out at 7am the following morning from our stay. After I told him I had seen his receptionist at the front desk take down all of my information, and that there was no conceivable way that he wouldn’t know what this complaint was regarding, he finally admitted that he knew who I was and that we had left the property at 10 pm that night. It was then when I realized that Mr. Garcia was the same person who I had spoken to the previous day who transferred me back to the front desk. This means the previous day, he literally, HAD PRETENDED NOT TO BE THERE AND TRANSFERRED ME BACK TO THE FRONT DESK.

Breakfast was great, loved pancakes and bacon. Bed was very comfy and bathroom lighting was nice. Also exercise room was top notch.

The room could use a bit of deodorizing and the tv remote was sticky.
